Sarah woke up and slowly climbed to her feet, it was a grueling reminder of how heavy the air was. The celestial beings quickly noticed, their language on her shirt, though it said nothing to their knowledge. It was just scrambled letters to them. The superior one, not casting the shield, directed Billy toward the dodecahedron with his stick. Billy acknowledged, picked it up and rose to his feet alongside Sarah. The entity directed Sarah to touch the dodecahedron. Sarah placed her hand on it. He held his palm out and chanted. This purple light encased the dodecahedron. The object fell to the ground as Billy and Sarah clutched their ears from the ringing in there head. The ringing turned into the sounds of a radio trying to find a signal. Then, it stopped. They removed their hands from their ears and looked at each other; Sarah mouthed...what was that. Billy's eye brows lowered, causing his eyes to squint―raised his shoulders, turned his palms upward and shook his head.

A booming voice full of pride came out of the one with the stick. "We call ourselves, Moogalytes."

Billy and Sarah jarred their heads in his direction in astonishment, that they could now understand him. Billy was shocked that such a powerful voice could emerge from him, Billy stuttered out "W...we are Hu...man...s"

"I am High Elder Rintar and this is Sauth. I apologize for the prison. We have to take precautionary measures."

"That's understandable Sir, I'm Billy and this is Sarah."

"It is an honor to meet you both." Rintar pulled his stick to his chest and rested on it a bit. "Sauth, you may release them, they pose no threat here." Sauth lowered his hands and the dome vanished. Billy and Sarah stepped back, after being released from the geodesic prison.

"What was that creature that turned to ash hitting your wall?" Billy asked in a panic. Realizing he was pounding on the prison. "Why didn't I die hitting that dome?"

"The dome cast around you both was harmless to the touch. The great walls around our city will destroy anything that touches them. The creature, you observed―we call them Daulper's. That one was a scout. That was the fourth one today." Sauth answered.

"Not very bright are they?" Billy replied.

"They are determined to destroy us and our planet, each one of them is closer to getting over that wall with every attempt. They are a fearless destructive force, which has killed many of our people already and they are no joke." Sauth said sternly.

"My apologies Sauth sir, I meant no disrespect."

Sauth huffed and scowled at him.

"Daulper's, what are they?"  Billy asked.

"Walk with me." Rintar said. "There will be time to answer your questions once we are safe. Sauth, take the printel back to the city and prepare to make an opening for our arrival.  And take the sacred dodecahedron with you." Sauth picked up the dodecahedron, got on the craft that looked like a scooter for two, made of the glass-like rock. He placed the dodecahedron on the base, stepped on the platform. He held the handlebars and closed his eyes. The printel lit up with white light. Walls formed to Sauth's waist securing him and object in place. In an instant he flew over the mountain and into the city.

"High Elder Rintar...Sir" Billy addressed.

"Yes."

"How did he do that?" How do you operate things here, like that printel?"

"The energy is in us all. We summon and operate everything here with our Life force―our spirit if you will. Everything is apart of us. Now focus, too many hostiles are scouting for an entrance to our city. We will answer your questions, when we reach the administration."

Rintar, Billy and Sarah made it to the city. Sauth was waiting at the west wall with a relief Arch-Warrior. Sauth tapped the arm of the Sumner at the west corner wall. The tap notified the female arch-warrior that a relief was waiting and chanting. The Summoner's stepped back allowing a ten second hole for Rintar, Billy and Sarah to enter the city.

It was a lively city―the city was made up of the precious white stone, Billy placed the dodecahedron on earlier: The buildings, the walkways, and the benches. The benches sat in the grass, along the pathways―among the flowers and the glowing trees. The stone that made up the city charged with light when the sun hit it. There were over a hundred Moogalytes walking around the city. A few were flying above on their printel's. When the Moogalytes passed through any of the stone that reflected the sun rays―the light refreshed them. Billy watched as four civilian's disappear walking on the charged walkway. When they came out they glowed a bit brighter. Two Moogalytes sitting on a bench with the sun hitting it got up to leave and continued to walk around the city. They now shinned as bright as the reflective light.

One building stood out, it seemed the city was built around the building on the mountain. It was their place of worship. You could see why the Moogalytes chose to build it on this mountain, from a distance―the church looked like it floated in the clouds. The path to the church was different than the other walkways―they were made up of solid gold bricks.

As they navigated the city, Rintar brought them to a farm of earth plants. Sarah and Billy's eyes lit up when they saw some farmers picking: bananas, tomatoes, carrots―oranges and other Earth fruits and vegetables. There was also a place that filtered the water, making it drinkable for them―Rintar must have sensed they were hungry and thirsty. This was the first time they stopped since entering the city.

Billy, Sarah and Rintar sat at a table. Peasants brought them some: bananas, oranges and freshly washed carrots. "Eat. Drink, renew yourselves." Rintar said to them peeling a banana. "We took samples from another time on your planet―I hope the food is satisfying."

"This is the best tasting banana, I ever had." Billy said.

"Good, I am glad it pleases you." Rintar said and turned to Sarah. "Does it please you?"

"This is the sweetest orange I have ever had."

"Good." Rintar said as he began to eat the banana.

Rintar glowed brighter with each bite of the banana. They finished their snack. Rintar stood up and said "Come, the hour is near."

"What hour?" Billy asked.

"Let's take a journey to one of our lookout towers, so you can see our world. Our east tower is close to here, we will make it in time to observe the surroundings a bit before the event."

Billy and Sarah stood up and thanked the peasants gathering the trash from the table. They followed Rintar to the east tower. They ascended the spiral stairs. Billy looked into the city―printels were no longer in flight. Some Moogalytes were gathered around the church in the clouds, down the path and around the mountain. Others were standing still and looking up; the whole city was quiet―except for an occasional sound of a scouting Daulper turning to ash, trying to leap the wall.

Straight ahead on the outskirts of the wall, was a bridge made of the precious white stone that extended across a small canyon. The canyon was so deep you could not see the bottom from the tower. The width of the entrance was pinned by two mountains, so nothing could squeeze around the bridge on the opposite side of the city. Rintar pointed out around the walls, and showed them the three lakes around the city. And said "The sun is about to reach its highest point in the sky above our city. Watch and be thankful with us." Rintar became silent like the rest of the city and leaned on his stick―he turned and looked toward the center of the city.

The sun was at the highest point of the city sky―it shined at a precise angle on all three surrounding lakes. Each lake reflected cylinders of light back into the sky. It was a beautiful site. The Moogalytes all raised their arms while looking up to the heavens, Billy and Sarah followed their lead, not because they did not want to disrespect their beliefs―they actually wanted to join them in thanks. For five minutes, the cylinders of light tickled the clouds in the sky. The Moogalytes took this time in remembrance the great creator made many wonderful things for them and was with them always―even in this time of chaos.
