Chapter 19:
Spiritual Attunement
The demonstration was complete and the arena slowly lowered back to the ground. The sun started its rise over the horizon, making the buildings in the city glow brighter with every inch the sun rose higher into the sky. It was like watching a city power back up after a rolling black-out. Sauth and Jubar walked out of the training area. Sauth looked at Billy as if to say, see you're not ready.
"I may not be ready for an exercise like that. But I am ready to get started. What can I train on?" He asked.
"You two need to start at Morning Attunement." Sauth replied.
"We would like to see how you two can coordinate with us as a group." Jubar said.
"What is Morning Attunement?"
"At sunrise we all go to the park and attune ourselves with the Creator and all that he provided us within the Universe."
"It recharges our energy levels." Sauth said.
"Like our meditation, yoga or martial arts." Sarah said.
"It helps us focus and gives us better insight."
"Where do you guys keep your swords? It looks like you just pulled them out of the air." Billy asked.
"We command them to form from our life force. They are a part of us."
"Why did your sword glow brighter than Sauth's?" Sarah asked Jubar.
"I had a few bananas before we went into the training grounds. The fruit brightens inside of us like no other Earthly plant we grow and our life-force shines brighter because of it."
"So, potassium enriched foods make you shine brighter?" Billy asked.
"It makes sense that the banana would give you more clarity and brightness, since potassium regenerates the human body's electrolytes and allows more oxygen into our brains. The oxygen helps our blood cells regenerate. It's basically a brain enhancer for us and we are full of electricity. You guys are essentially us evolved." Sarah said.
Billy did a double take and lowered his eyebrows in shock at Sarah's knowledge.
"Yes Billy, I know Science and Anatomy." Sarah left out a prideful smile and snickered under her breathe.
"Nevertheless, the Morning Attunement is about to start." Sauth said.
"We must go now." Jubar said while the trainees' grouped up with them.
