• Ian is hopelessly in love with Mickey and Mickey at the time is hiding his affection for Ian in public, frustrating Ian, but Mickey still has Ian's full love and devotion- ❝A heart that's full up like a landfill❞
• ❝A job that slowly kills you❞ ok, we don't need an explanation for Ian's shitty job because it's good in the aspect where we get to admire his hot abs, but it keeps him up all night and he even cheats on Mick and old, creepy men are touching his dick
• Mickey and Ian had a rough, aggressive, raw relationship that left bruises on Ian physically and emotionally- the ones that Mickey left in his heart with the things he'd say to Ian (though we know he didn't mean it) when he was hiding his sexuality, and the numerous physical fights they got into. But, not only Mickey, Monica and Frank and his family had left bruises on his soul and his heart seeing that Ian was one of the siblings who was always treated shittiest and was never listened to : ❝bruises that won't heal❞
• ❝You look so tired and unhappy❞ -referencing Ian's bipolar, the foreshadowing with the whole almost slitting open Kenyatta's throat and his highs, and his bipolar was discovered with the lows- his unhappiness and tiredness refusing to leave the bed
