It was still day, and we sat around on the logs Talrik and Kalrin had gathered. We were discussing what to do and otherwise being bored.

"We need to get some food before we starve," I told them.

"Then you can go hunting, didn't you used to do that a lot?" Kalrin said, "While you do that, we can go do something useful, like finding out what the hell is going on."

I glared at him, "How am I supposed to hunt without a bow? I'm telling you, we need to find a city and get supplies. We might even find some help there as well."

"He has a point," Sophie said, "How are you supposed to 'find out what the hell is going on' anyway?"

"I don't know, but I'm tired of being left in the dark. Maybe we can ask a god?" he suggested.

"What makes you think a god is just going to show up for a question and answer? I say we just focus on surviving first," I said, frustrated.

"So it's settled? We go to a city?" Sophia asked, and I suddenly felt relieved. I'd hoped to pass by my town and to get my things.

"Yeah, but one problem," Kalrin said, "We don't have any money."

"I do," I told them, "I have over a thousand drachma hidden outside where Agrios used to be. Sophia, how far are we from there?" I knew we couldn't have been too far, Agrios was only about ten miles from Mount Olympus. We were only about a mile from Mount Olympus, so best case my town was nine miles away, worst case it was on the other side of the mountain. To get to the other side might have meant another day of walking.

"Well if I remember correctly, Agrios is on the east side of the mountain. We're on the south side. It's pretty far, maybe fifty miles, guessing," she said, "Is it worth the walk?"

"Well it's a bow for hunting, extra arrows, a lot of money, and some other random things. You decide."

She thought a moment before speaking, "Maybe we could just have Sarin go get it and have one of us go with him. The two that remain can do  something productive in the meantime."

"I can go by myself," I told her.

"No," she said sternly, "It's not worth the risk. What if you get attacked? You couldn't even handle two wolves by yourself. I'm coming with you."

I glared at her, annoyed by her bossiness, but still slightly glad she wanted to come. "Fine," I muttered.

"Besides, I can get us there a lot faster. The river by your house connects to this lake," she said.

I frowned, "How many  rivers connect to it?"

"A lot. There are three direct connections, and five more that branch off of one of the three rivers," she said, clearly proud of her knowledge, "Plus there might be even more I don't know of."

"Well what are we supposed to do?" Kalrin asked, "Sit around and do nothing?"

"Try and contact a god," I said sarcastically.

He faked a laugh and said, "Funny."

"Go try and find a city we can trade in, "Sophia suggested.

"You want us to walk randomly around the woods hoping we find a town? Hell no, you must be stupid," Kalrin said.

"I was going to point you in the direction of the nearest town, idiot," Sophia growled.

"Calm down," Tarik told them, "Sophia, hurry up. You need to get there before it's night."

"Fine," she said, glaring at Kalrin.

We walked away, towards the tent we'd set up.

"I don't know what the hell has been wrong with him today. Ever since we fled the camp he's been a total ass," Sophia muttered, "And you, you've been pissed since I met you. What the hell is wrong?"
