The island was absolutely massive, it had to be over 27km in diameter! What I still wonder is how these two giants ended up here, and were there anymore that are like them? These were questions I asked, and I soon found the answer.
Rishka clung onto Jack's rugged linen shirt, which had many holes on it, some of which were lined with dried blood. Jack had stopped limping a while back and was walking normally, and Mark was still trailing behind them. They were at the end of the ravine, which led to the surface. Rishka was about to make her way to Jack's hand, but he slid through the large divide. Rishka clung to Jack's sleeve, moving around to avoid the falling rocks. After a few moments, the two giants finally managed to get out of the ravine. She was expecting more forest, but instead saw the ruins of a village. She climbed down to Jack's hand and he lowered her to the ground.
Rishka scampered off and carefully tread towards the village. Jack and Mark followed, Jack being almost noiseless while Mark was still noisy while he moved, only a little more quiet. She walked into one of the huts, and saw an old lion plushy made from some kind of fur. She picked it up and put it in her bag and continued on through the hut. She found lots of items: a necklace made of dinosaur teeth, a giant fang, more toys... there was a lot of things. That made Rishka wonder, why were those two giants chained down in the ravine? Surely they were there for a reason. Rishka left the hut, and she saw Mark observing an old and withered church. Jack was nowhere to be found.
She continued to explore the small village. She saw a beautiful silk dress preserved in a glass box (she was DEFINITELY coming back for that before she left), a small shoe left in a puddle, a sword stuck in another weird, stone/crystal armor piece, and reptilian footprints that Mark was curiously inspecting.
Rishka looked at him, and then spoke. "Do you know what happened here?" Mark just looked at her and stared.
"Wait, can you even talk?" Rishka asked. Mark looked at the ground and winced. "You can't talk?" Mark looked at her, then at his hands.
As if on cue, Jack came back with the same T-Rex that had sent Rishka into the ravine, dangling limply from his hands. The sun was setting anyways. Rishka set out to find food, not wanting to be eaten while the two giants shared the dinosaur carcass, and found an apple tree on a cliffside. She climbed up the cliff's gentlest slope, and then climbed up the tree. She stored as many apples as she could in her bag, which was the whole tree's worth. She had savored one and began to eat. When she was finished she leaned against the branch.
She was about to fall sleep when she saw a strange structure out of the corner of her eye. She looked at it. It looked like a group of, towers? She didn't wait to find out! She went back the way she came and jogged back to the two giants, whom were resting. The moon rose a short while later, and she figured it could wait. She crawled under one of the giant's hands and shortly fell asleep under the warmth and shelter of the hand, something she had never had a chance to experience before.
