It was a mystery to me how Jack resisted the sorcerer's mind control screech, but I was even more surprised at how he handled Mark. He just, beat him,all while trying to keep him away from me! Maybe that's why Mark was out on the floor last time with a boulder by him. Jack must've hit him with it, but why?
Rishka awoke to cold ground and Jack's roar. She sprang up, looking around. And saw Jack snarling at Mark, who was very confused. He also had fear written in his eyes, but Jack couldn't see that.
"Jack! Leave him alone!" Rishka said. Jack turned and whined, glancing at Mark and back at her. He finally gave in to Rishka and backed off into a corner, slumping down. The ground slightly shook, seeing as Rishka could hardly see Jack, and Mark crept towards her. He seemed to remember what he did, and whined. He looked like a giant puppy almost. Rishka backed away slightly, then gave him a patient smile.
"Okay, fine! I forgive you!" Rishka said. Mark looked at her, then gently grabbed her and pressed her into his chest, as if trying to hug her. Jack crept over, curious.
"Are you two done fighting?" Rishka asked. Both giants nodded. Rishka smiled and Jack picked her up. This time they weren't locked in the room. Jack put Rishka down next to him, laid his hands flat on top of each other, and knelt down. Mark seemed to understand what the giant was doing. Rishka noticed what they were doing.
Are they actually human? Rishka wondered. Jack gave Mark a leg up, seeing as warriors weren't built for agility, but were built to handle even Jack's attempts to knock him out. Mark must've fallen at least five times before he actually was knocked out. That was actually impressive. Mark managed to climb out. Rishka darted towards Jack's hand, and jumped onto it. He looked down at her, then raised his hand to his chest. Mark helped Jack out and the three headed out, thankful that they weren't locked in this time.
They walked down the hall and into a room full of armor and a statue of a giant gladiator. Jack put Rishka down, and the two giants looked at the armory. Jack picked up a dagger that looked like a fang, and kept it, hooking it to his waist since it also had a sheath. He walked up to the statue, and it's eyes glowed. The statue grabbed Jack by the neck and tossed him to the side of the room, and roared. Mark looked up, and snarled. This giant wasn't a sorcerer, but a warrior in armor.
(Uh-oh! The boys are in trouble again! This time against a warrior bigger than Mark (Not Tyler, sorry). When do they get a break, and what's causing this mayhem? All of this and more in the next chapter!)
