"You're absolutely nuts. There's no such thing!" Amelia said.
"Do you really think I'd make this up, I was never all into Jack and the Beanstalk as a kid. Or King Kong, or anything with giants in general! Why do you think I'd be making this up! If I were, I would've made it that they had dyed hair and tattoos!" Rishka said. "Well, aside from some scars that look like they were drawn on..."
"I want to believe you, but this sounds to unreal." Amelia said. A rabbit ran across the street and the green jeep, equipped for the harsh trails of the Mohave Desert, drove right by. Their destination: Area 51, the only place Rishka thought that they would be held captive. If they were anywhere else, then that raised questions into Rishka's mind. She also had a terrible feeling that more giants had noticed Fumetsu's death, and were clearly pissed.
"Well, we need to wait until around midnight." Amelia said, parking the car.
"Because at Midnight, they're all drunk and tired around the front. Sneaky folk take the back. We're gonna be smart." Amelia said. Grabbing a water bottle from the cooler in the back. "Besides. It works like this in movies and books!"
It took Rishka a while to process the information before she spoke up. "That doesn't mean it will work for us." She grumbled.
(POV SWAP)
A few men tried to pin the frightened giant down but once again were flung by his swift movements. At this moment, Tyler came out of his office after a man was flung onto the bulletproof glass. All this time from the moment he opened his eyes in the bunker, the giant had been shrinking away, terrified of even the janitor, who was terrified of all three giants.
"We're trying to calm him before we feed him, but our efforts are nothing!" One of the men said. Tyler looked at the frightened giant then back at the man.
"Have you tried to not pinning him to the ground? To me it looks like you're trying to force feed him medicine or poison." Tyler said.
The man hesitated then yelled, "Release the ropes!" In an instant, the men let go when the were safe to release. Tyler walked up to the giant, and the titanic being looked at him, frightened.
"Hey, listen to me." The giant sat down and watched him. "We're trying to give you food, but you have to cooperate with us."
He winced and looked down, and Tyler frowned. He knew how scared this guy was, but of course fear would cause more problems than solutions if he kept on hiding every time even a bird came in. Well, he was from another island. God knows what was on that island! He thought. Tyler left and the giant whined. Oh how much did he resemble a puppy, but Tyler ignored it, knowing that there was other tasks at hand. He ran into General Felix and froze, saluting the general. Felix was a high school transfer from Gothenburg, Sweden (went ahead and did some research!), and signed up for the military. He was already general and it hadn't even been 10 years!
"General Felix-" Tyler began.
"Tyler, there's something we must discuss." Felix said, walking back the way he had come. Tyler followed, confused.
Meanwhile Jack had watched with a weary eye, keeping a look out for anything that could be held from him. He knew how shifty these humans were, and didn't like any of them.
"What is it?" Tyler asked.
"The cities of Bolsa Chica and parts of Huntington went up in flames today, thousands died because of a fireball." Felix said.
Tyler flinched, and Jack growled soft enough that the humans couldn't hear. Fumetsu was the only thing that ran through his head. The one who had scarred his arm at birth, and cursed him with the mark, who made his violence rise when even slightly ticked off. His growl grew louder, but luckily it sounded more like a purr. Tyler and Felix looked at the giant, and figured he was dreaming.
"And?" Tyler asked, slightly startled but still calm on the outside.
"There were three giants. They devoured the survivors like they were just candy." Felix said.
Jack glared and pretended to wake up. He yawned and turned towards the sky light, looking at the now full moon. His snarl melted into worry. He knew that they sent Rishka somewhere, and he hoped wherever she was sent was far from Fumetsu's path of destruction. The beast inside that came with his mark started to plot revenge on Fumetsu, and so did he.
Meanwhile, Mark laid on his back and wearily played with a scrap of metal that he had found. He twirled it in his fingers and brushed his thumb over the metal. Some men came in and saw the titanic being with the large piece of a plane body in his hand, holding it like it was a leaf. The three were chained separately from each other to prevent conversation of escape. Despite warriors being introverted and keeping to themselves often, Mark often enjoyed being around other giants. He even considered Jack as a best friend while the two were stuck underground for decades.
Mark looked at the men, put the scrap down, and rolled onto his belly, trying to figure out what they were here for. The men approached him with a weird creature in tow. He snarled, then roared, getting up onto his feet. He backed all the way until his chains buckled, and the creature moved a strange object towards him. It penetrated his arm, and he roared with pain. The object retreated just as he tore his arm away.
He winced and licked the wound, snarling at the men. He roared and bared his teeth, crouching low to the ground. He raised his hand as if to swipe at them, but a sharp pain hit his shoulder and he fell to the ground, chains rattled and the men scrambled away from the shadow.
(END.)
(Nah, JKLOL! Well, end of chapter, but not of the story! So, Mark got blood drawn, Jack's tattoo is his "birthmark" given to him by Fumetsu, and Ethan's warming up to the humans! Also, Tyler is in the story! Yay!🎉 And Rishka & Amelia are gonna be lil sneaky sneaks! WSW, OUT!!!)
