I sit up on the bed and adjust my eyesight. I got 5 hours sleep last night and I’m up at 9am. Kill me now...
I decide to go and find Jack or something but as I get out of bed, I notice all the smashed glass on the floor. I remember Conor telling me that he smashed something. I sigh in frustration and tip toe around it.
I walk downstairs and enter the kitchen to see Jack sat at the table on his phone while eating his cereal.
“Morning” I smile.
“Morning” he does the same. “Why did you leave last night?” he frowns.
“You took up the whole bed and I didn’t have any covers so I had no option than to go in Conor’s” I roll my eyes and he laughs.
“You should’ve just moved me up”
“You think I didn’t try that?” I raise an eyebrow, making him laugh. “Do you have a brush? Something smashed last night” I lie. I don’t just want to tell Jack that Conor smashed something because Conor might be embarrassed about it or something.
“Um, yeah. It’s in that cupboard” he nods to the corner of the room. I open the cupboard and find all the cleaning facilities in there and I eventually come across a dustpan and brush.
“Thanks” I smile, walking back upstairs and into Conor’s room. I can tell Jack didn’t believe that something smashed. I think he knew that it was Conor but that’s not for me to tell him.
After I’ve double checked that all the glass has gone, I wipe up the water with a tissue and put all the pieces of glass in the kitchen bin.
“What did he smash?” Jack asks, putting his bowl at the side of the sink.
“What?” I frown.
“I know Conor smashed something. What was it?”
“Oh um, just a glass” I shrug and he nods.
“Did he know you slept in his?”
“I accidently woke him up but nothing happened” I say, looking to the floor.
“It’ll be alright” he assures me, rubbing my back slightly. I smile and as I’m about to reply to him, Conor comes shuffling into the room, half awake. His hair is messed up and he’s only wearing his sweatpants that hang loosely around his waist. How does he manage to look so attractive first thing in the morning?
“Not interrupting anything am I?” he sighs, grabbing a glass out of the top cupboards and filling it with water. I sigh heavily and roll my eyes.
“Ignore him” Jack mimes to me and I nod slightly. Conor turns to face us and glares at me for a while.
“We need to talk” he says bluntly.
“No” I frown.
“Excuse me?”
“No. I’m having a nice time with Jack, I‘m not letting you and your attitude ruin that” I turn to Jack and he gives me a look as if to say ‘talk to him or things will get worse’. I just roll my eyes.
“Sorry” Conor sighs and I turn to him in confusion. “Please can we talk?” he smiles slightly and I nod hesitantly. We both turn to Jack who’s now smirking like crazy.
“Jack, go away” I laugh lightly and push him out of the room. I turn back to Conor and just look at him.
“You cleaned up the glass” he states the obvious. Jack wasn’t going to do it...
“Someone had to do it” I nod slowly.
“You could’ve cut yourself”
“You’re mad at me for cleaning up some glass?” I frown and he sighs.
