Emil had loads of fun that week. Michele and Sara had taken him touring the city and eating lots and lots of food. Michele actually became shook at the fact that Emil could literally eat six portions worth of pasta in one sitting. It was completely inhuman. And amusing at the same time.
As for during the nighttime, it became a regular thing that Michele would hold Emil's hand until he fell asleep. Also Emil was a great source of heat on cold nights.
The day was here, and Emil couldn't be happier to see Michele preform. He and Sara had gotten good seats, and talked about the plan before the play started.
After a few minutes, the play finally begun, and after the introduction, Sara and Emil both waved at Mickey really fast. Of course, he didn't see them.
Emil carefully spectated the show, nodding in approval, trying to look classy. But when Michele sang, he and Sara totally lost it. Especially Emil.
Michele could hit all the notes correctly, and even better than best. He could be any type of singer that he wanted. The whole audience seemed moved by his voice, but Emil more than anyone. Michele was amazing.
Every song expressed an emotion. He could tell. Ambition, regret, power, it was always something different in each piece. But his performance preserved a pattern. One emotion was there that Emil couldn't make out. Was it....
As Emil watched, he touched his face because his nose had an itch, but later did he feel his cheeks wet.
Am I crying?
Emil touched the liquid running from his eyes. Tears.
Damn it.
Not again.
I can't keep crying over the same person.
Emil kept listening no matter what, though. That actor who took the whole audience's attention with his voice was the center of the universe, as it seemed to Emil. He couldn't believe what he was listening. It was just so.... angelic? Was that the word.
Michele is an angel fallen down.
He's an angel.
I'm in love with an angel.
Emil wasn't the only emotional one. When he turned to look at Sara, her face was in her hands and she was sobbing uncontrollably. Emil wrapped his arm around her and hugged her.
"Same." Emil comforted.
* * *
The play came to an end. Sara and Emil waited for all of Mickey's fans to leave so they could go up to him at last.
Michele was carrying lots of stuff that his fans had given him.
"Need some help?" Sara asked.
"Presumably."
Emil also helped with some stuff and noticed what they had given him.
"You got a Pokémon plushie....."
"Two, actually."
