Michele got home, and he could not stop thinking about Emil. Emil had a serious problem. He knew Emil needed to go to a doctor, but Emil refused to. All he could do was check on Emil every day to see how he was doing.

On the other hand, Sara seemed to be acting a bit weird. She had bought a lot of boxes and had started cleaning out her wardrobe. Michele wanted to know what was up with that.

Today was a very rainy day and he hadn't seen Sara in quite a while.

"Sara!" Michele called as he knocked on her door.

"Mm?"

"I brought you a sandwich."

Sara opened her door and thanked Michele for the sandwich, took it, and closed the door again.

"Sara! What are you doing in there?"

"Mmm... Nothing!" She called.

"Sara! Come out! What's going on?"

Sara opened the door and smiled sarcastically.

"I'm moving out!" She cooed.

"What?! When? With who?" Michele panicked.

"I can't tell you! You might get mad!" Sara sung.

"But when the hell are you leaving?"

"Next week!"

Michele forcefully opened the door and looked at Sara.

"Are you serious?"

Sara nodded.

"Who's going to help me pay the electricity bills? And the water bills?" Michele asked.

"I've got that covered!"

"Sara...."

"Michele. I'm an independent woman. I can move in with my partner—"

"Partner?!"

"Yeah, I'm dating someone!" Sara chuckled.

Michele stared at her like a deer caught in headlights. He couldn't believe it. It just wasn't possible. Michele had monitored Sara every step of the way, so there was no way she was dating anyone. For all he knew, he had never let Sara go out on her own except when Emil was in Italy.

Michele gasped.

Emil.

She was moving in with Emil.

Emil lived alone.

"No. You're not leaving." Michele said sternly.

"Huh?"

"You're not going to live with that scumbag!" Michele yelled. Sara stood up.

"Do not offend my partner like that! Watch your mouth. I'm old enough to move out, and I actually want to move out. The person I'm going to live with is much more tolerable than you ever were. Because they don't fuss over how oblivious to love they are unlike you! Actually, you know what, I'm calling the moving truck to pick my stuff up tomorrow! And I'm leaving tomorrow then!" Sara yelled. "Now get out!"

Michele gasped. He was really hurt.

"Fine!"

"Fine!"

Michele stormed out the room and slammed the door shut. Why did he ever think he could trust Emil? Why would he ever trust a cheerful bastard like him? Michele had made it clear to Emil that he couldn't date Sara, and now she was moving in with him? It was simply unacceptable. And Michele was slightly jealous, but he didn't know of who. Was he jealous of Emil for taking his beloved sister? Or was he jealous of Sara for being the one to fill up the gap in Emil's heart?

But what could he say? Sara was closer, nicer, and better with Emil than Michele. But Michele wasn't about to hand his little sister over. He knew what Emil was doing. He was trying to get closer to Michele, put up a fake act of panic attacks, just so he could later come in and steal Sara away from him. It was.... selfish. Something Michele thought he would never have to describe Emil with.

Michele read over his text conversations with Emil, searching for some kind of clue that showed what he was about to do. Nothing. Emil was sly. He was good at hiding things. Michele sighed and turned his phone off. He would have to get a new number, but until then, his phone would remain at the bottom of the drawer.

Michele cried. He hated crying. It wasn't like him at all. But he and Sara had been inseparable since birth. He loved her. She was his star. She was everything. And now he was going to lose her to who he thought was his best friend. But Sara was gone.

The next morning, he didn't even hear Sara leave. She had been so quiet. In the blink of an eye, she was gone.

When Michele woke up, thinking he could at least say goodbye to her, he found the house empty. He punched the wall and watched as his knuckles bled,

realizing he was alone and shattered.

Hey guys, just a quick heads up. Next chapter has small triggers and discusses sensitive topics like illness and death, so if that offends you, skip the next chapter and DM me for a summary of it. If not, I recommend reading it because this is one of the most important parts of the story. There are about three more chapters left, and the next one is pretty big. -Paris
