But it wasnt a lightning storm.
It was something far more scary and far more deadly. Debree swirled all around the car. Rocks hit the windshield and flew in the slightly open window.
Tumbleweed thrashed around everywhere. High wind speeds kicked up massive amounts of dust, that collected so densely around the car, Jarvis had to stop because he could not see anything. The now dark, angry sky seemed to swirl, like koolwhip, in the middle.
All the debree seemed to be collecting here, flying up from the ground. The swirl got larger and swirlier, but now it wasn't a swirl anymore. the swirl was gone, replaced by a massive, angry hole that seemed to be emmiting an unbelievably powerful suction. Out of this, a spinning funnel of debree and dirt formed in the air..*
* Ben saw it first, and nearly fainted. the angry dark funnel of deadly fast winds, rapidly growing larger and faster by the second, speeding toward the highway sally, Jake, he and Jarvis, were currently parked on. The sound, the horrible sound. It was a train, screaming at them.
Cursing them and attacking their eardrums with it's unbearably loud screech of rage.
Ben started to scream
Jake wrapped both arms around Sally and held her tight while she held her head trying to block out the sound.
"SALLY!!" Ben cried through the noise.
"IT'S OK!! WE'RE GOING TO BE OK!!" She hollered back!
Sally looked at jake for reassurance, but his gorgeous blue eyes projected out the same fear Sally felt.
It touched ground, and it was like a blanket of dirt was simotaniously ripped from the whole ground, and all hell broke loose... The freeway was ripped apart like a peppermint when stomped on. It seemed to crumble even before the swirling, funnel of dark mass of destruction touched it.
Cacti were ripped from the desert earth, causing dirt and sand to fly everywhere. The car jerked forward and Ben lurched out of his seet. The tornado was everywhere, backward, left and right. All the while making the car jerk a little each way, coaxing it to come nearer.
Nearer to it's death. The tornado was like a puppet master, the car it's puppet. It's strings being jerked just right, so that even though Jarvis had the gas pedal floored, and the car in reverse it kept crawling closer and closer ever so tantalizingly to it's massacre. Out of no where the tornado charged straight toward them. It was about 17 miles away but getting closer by the minute, now it was 16...15...13...11...8...5........3...................... The back of the car leapt up, toward the tornado.... Ben screamed, sally fainted... The trunk slammed back down, causing the car to jerk forward a few feet. The windows shattered into a million pieces. Showering Ben with broken glass.
The tornado was only 2.5 miles away now. The back of the car jerked up again, then down and forward. Up, down, forward. Ben could feel the wind whipping through the broken windows. Jake held Sally even tighter.
The trunk went up again, so high it made the car balance on the front bumper, but only for a second. Encouraged by the pull of the tornado, the end came crashing down over the front of the car, crash!!!! The windshield shattered, the metal roof crumpled under the weight of the car on top of it. Boom!!!! It was pulled up by the tornado, onto the back bumper!! The front fell down, Boom!!!!!!! Boom!!!! Crack!!!! It was on the wheels again. Now the front bumper!! Roof!!! Back!!! Wheels!!!!! Flipping back over front, over and over!!!
The tornado was now only .5 miles away now. The car flipped over on it's wheels again for the last time, then shot up toward the tornado, flipping and spiraling! It, the mangled car, dove headfirst into the swirling black abyss........
