Chapter 8

Waiting for mom and dad to get back is excruciating. Sitting in my room, I tried to come up with my own idea's of what is happening. But I keep coming up blank. I can't think of anything that could have them so rattled. It's the complete opposite of what they are normally like. I'm used to seeing them cool, calm and collected. It's only a couple of day's ago that I felt someone watching me, it's can't be that serious. Maybe other vampires have found out about me and want me dead but then again if they really did know that, they would know I can't be killed, like dad, mom and Marcus. But why only watch me, whoever it is has had plenty of opportunities to do something. I have trained alone and been in school by myself today without the other's, so it couldn't be that vampire's have found out about me. I think the more I think about it the more stupid idea's I come up with. Hearing the door open it and followed with voices, I jumped off my bed and walked into the kitchen.

                                        Marcus, mom and dad were standing in the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen everyone turned to face me.

"Well, can I find out now what's going on and put me out of my misery of coming up with stupid idea's?" I asked.

"Yeah you can lil Ruby, sit down and we'll tell you everything" Marcus said looking hesitant.

I sat down beside mom and waited for Marcus to tell me what's going on. They all look like they don't want to tell me what's going on which is making me wonder what can be so bad. Instead of Marcus speaking, mom did,

"Unfortunately baby, from everything the boys found out today isn't good. Your being hunted. But the thing is no other vampires know you exist, but one does. Marcus and Amelia have another brother you have never met, he was banished by the king" she said.

"So your brother is hunting me" I asked shocked and looked towards Marcus.

"I'm sorry lil Ruby, I hoped it wasn't him. He has done so much already, I thought we would never see him again" Marcus said.

"Why is he hunting me?" I asked mom.

"He is hunting you because of me and you're dad. I'm going to have to start from the beginning to explain everything to you and why all of this is happening. Your dad wasn't my first beloved Ruby, I had two more. I was a changed vampire so I had the possibility of having two. When I was human, Marcus' s brother Kyle, was my beloved. I didn't know it at the time until I was changed and came here to fight with the royal guard. The first beloved I had was James, he was the reason I accepted the dark side, he slept with someone else when I was staying at his home because he was going to help me adjust. When I was brought here and passed my trial to be a guard, I was brought to meet the king and his family, that's when I realised Kyle was my mate. But at that stage I was completely consumed by the darkness and I felt nothing for him even tough he decided he wanted me then after he saw the changes from me turning into a vampire but I rejected any idea's he had of us being together. That's when I met your dad and from the moment I saw him, we both wanted each other even when we were dark. Your dad' s beloved died before he could even meet her that's why he gave himself to the darkness. Eventually the more time we spent with each other we were pulling each other from the darkness. What your dad and I have is called a rare bond, it's is a hell of a lot stronger than the royals beloveds bond. Kyle was pissed when he found we were together, Marcus kept him away from me. Kyle had a fake beloved who turned out to be James second mate. He had completely accepted darkness at that stage. He lead an attack on our family. I killed him and every vampire that came with him to send a message to any vampires who thought they could live long enough to take over. Kyle tried to attack his father because he wanted his father to kill me for killing his so called beloved. After that Kyle left and didn't return. You were only a baby when I found out my family was searching for me after two year's. I went to see them because I wanted answer's to why they hated me so much. But instead of getting answer's, I got ambushed by some of the vampires beloveds I killed that night with James. Kyle told them where I was, they came to kill you to punish me. But instead I killed them for trying to hurt you along with my parent's. He has come back to hurt you along with one of the female vampire's I killed son. He is twenty now. Kyle has him watching you, he is every bit as dangerous as Kyle. Kyle hasn't lost himself to the darkness, he doesn't need it to be an evil manipulative bastard but the boy with him has. Kyle took him under his wing when his mother was killed. He has a gift, he is kinetic. Kyle has taunted him all his life about how I killed his family and how he should kill mine to get his revenge to the point the boy accepted the darkness so he wouldn't feel anymore pain about his family's death. But kyle never told him that his family attacked mine, he thinks I hunted his family down to kill them all along with him, that he would be dead only for Kyle saved him" Mom explained.
