Love Struck

Chapter 13

Walking up to Amara' s door, I knocked on it waiting for her to answer. Rhys won't be here til later, so right now we're free to have a complete girly day. Something neither of us have had before. A very excited Amara opened the door and hugged me.

"I'm so glad you're here, I need some serious help with my hair and makeup" she said with a pout I don't think she has even realised she is doing. She is adorable.

"Me too, don't worry, I have everything we need in my car" I smiled and walked to my car grabbing two big bag's and my dress and shoe's.

"Thank god Ruby, I don't have a clue what to do" she said dragging me in the door and up the stairs.

She opened the door to reveal a beautiful turquoise painted room. He's bed covers silver with designs in turquoise. Her curtains match her bed which is a king size and full of pillow. Her lockers and wardrobes are done is a glossy white along with her floor board's.

"Amara, you're room is beautiful, the colour's are perfect" I smiled as I took everything in.

"Really, do you like it?" she asked hopeful.

"I don't like it, I love it" I beamed.

"Thank god, I was afraid you wouldn't like it or think it was to childish" she said.

"Amara, never worry about what others think, as long as you like it, that's all that matters" I smiled.

"I wish I could do that, but it's hard not to let what other people say get to me, I could hear hundreds of positive comments, but that one negative one will always be the first thing I remember" she said looking away from me.

"I wish I met you sooner Amara, so I could have been there for you through all of this. You don't deserve to be treated the way you have been. You're mother couldn't pick who her mate is, so what that he is a vampire as long as they love each other, they are fated to be together. Why should you're mother lose out on the love only a mate can bring. You should of had the choice to go with her" I told her honestly.

"I wish you were too. I wanted to go with her, her mate accepted me as his own. They fought to get me but my father wouldn't let me go. Instead I'm stuck in a pack where only one person wants me around. The sad part is, that it's Gaberial and not my father" she said as she sat down on the bed.

My heart broke for her. I don't know what I would do in her situation. She doesn't want to be here and I can't blame her. She should be made feel safe and loved by her father and pack, but instead she feels like an outcast.

"Where is you're mother now?" I asked.

"As far as I know, she is living a few hours out of town. Her beloved is part of the royal family, his father is the king's brother" she told me.

Everything clicked into place. That's why I feel so protective of her. The king only has one brother, my  grandfather, even though I think and call the king my grandfather as well. Even if she isn't his daughter, her mother is connected to the bloodline and through that Amara is. That's why I feel protective of her. She is my cousin and my dad is her uncle. She doesn't have to be of royal blood for me to feel the connection, through her mother's bond is enough. What's even better is that I know their planning on moving to the manors ground soon so her mother's beloved can fight with the royal guard to stop Kyle and the ones he has gathered. I have even met Amara' s mother before. But I won't tell her yet, I need to make sure I'm right first.

"Wow, would you mind living with the royal family?" I asked a little afraid of her answer.

"I wouldn't mind, he accepted me straight away, my own pack hasn't even done that. I'm just scared my mate will turn out to be a vampire and that they will finally banish me from the pack. But then again, it wouldn't be the worst thing to happen, I could go find my mom" she said with a sad smile.
