Family Reunion

Chapter 17

The day has finally come. Amara mother is arriving today with my uncle Angelo. We haven't told Natalie that Amara is here, she wanted to surprise her mother. I am so excited for her. She has wanted this moment for so long.

Angelo and Natalie arrived a little while ago. They are getting settled in and then coming here to visit us. I can't wait to see her reaction when Amara walks out of our room. We all sat in the kitchen waiting for them to come. Poor Amara, doesn't know what to expect, she hasn't seen her mom in so long. A knock on our door caused the room to go completely silent. Amara jumped from her seat forgetting where to go til I directed her into our room to hide and surprise her.

Mom got up and walked to our door and opened it. Angelo walked in with Natalie behind him. Amara is the image of her, I don't know how it didn't click with me when I first saw Amara.

"It's great to see you both, have you settled in okay" mom asked hugging both of them.

"Yeah we did, thank you so much for getting the house organised for us" Natalie said. Dad walked over to them with a big smile.

"It was no trouble at all. I'm so happy you're both here" Dad said.

"Me too, this way we're close to Natalie' s old pack, she might get to see Amara. She turned eighteen a few days ago" Angelo said.

"It would mean the world to me if I got to see her. She is eighteen now so she can make her own choices without her father interfering" Natalie said looking hopeful.

"What if I told you that you could see her now" Dad said.

"Are you serious, I would wrap my arm's around her and never let her go" she said as Angelo pulled her to him knowing how much it hurts her that she can't see her daughter.

"Ruby, do you want to introduce you're friend" mom asked.

"I'll get her" I smiled and rushed to my room.

I opened the door and found a pacing Amara. She looks so Nervous and excited all at once.

"Are you ready?" I smiled.

She nodded her head and stood still for a few moments before she took a deep breath and took my hand I held out for her.

"Don't be so nervous, she is just after saying how she might get to see you now she is here" I reassured her.

"Really?" she asked.

"Really" I answered.

Opening the door, I lead Amara into the kitchen to see her mom. Natalie turned to face us with a smile and when she spotted Amara she froze. Tears started to build in her eyes as she took in Amara face completely. She squeeze Angelo' s hand before she let it go and started to move towards Amara.

"Oh my god, it's really you Amara, you look so beautiful and grown up, I have missed you so much. Not a day goes by that I haven't thought of you and how you would look now" she said with tear falling down her face. She didn't give Amara a chance to speak. She pulled Amara into her arm and clung to her like her life depended on it. Amara wrapped her arm's around her, taking in her scent. Tears started to fall down my eyes as I watched them cling to each other, afraid one would disappear. Angelo looked at both of them with a big smile and mouthed "Thank you" to me. I gave him a smile as mom and dad stood beside me and held me as we watched them. Angelo moved towards them and wrapped his arm's around both of them, he kissed Natalie forehead and did the same with Amara. I listened to his thoughts to see if he was truely happy. His thought's brought a smile to my face. He couldn't be happier. As far as he is concerned, his family is now complete. He always wanted Amara to be with them. He fought as hard as he could for her without causing a war. The main reason for moving here wasn't just for Kyle, they came here for Amara.

"I have missed you so much mom" I heard Amara say.

"I have missed you so much too my baby girl" Natalie said as she kissed her forehead.

They broke apart and looked at one another smiling.

"How did you end up here Amara?" she asked.

"Ruby and her family took me in after dad and the pack banished me. My mate is a vampire as well and dad wasn't to happy about it. So I had to leave. Me and Ruby met in school and we became friend's. She didn't judge me like the pack did" Amara told her as she smiled over at me.

"I don't know how to thank you all for what you have done for Amara, especially you Ruby. I know you wouldn't let anything happen to her. Who is you're mate? do I know him?" she asked.

"His name is Rhys, he is one of the royal guards" Amara said smiling.

Natalie face lit her, she knows Rhys well and is very fond of him. He always made her laugh intentional or not.

"I do know him, you have a wonderful mate with him, Angelo and I are very fond of him" she smiled and Amara relaxed once she heard that.

"Oh thank god, I was hoping you would like him. I can't belive you're here right now" Amara told her still taking in her mother and wrapped her arm's around her mother again.

After a little while we all sat down. As Amara told her everything that has happened since her mother has left. At time I actually thought she was going to shift into her wolf and run off to rip their head's off. But Angelo managed to calm her down. But I wouldn't blame her for her reaction I was shaking with fury myself at some of the thing' s I heard. I am definitely going to make sure she can inflict some damage on them now or i will.

After awhile Rhys and Killian came in. Rhys face lit up when he saw Natalie and Angelo. Straight away Natalie stood up and hugged Rhys. Angelo wasn't far behind.

"I'm delighted you're my daughter's mate. I couldn't ask for a better man for her. Just look after her the way I know you can. Is this is you're mate Ruby?" she asked.

"Yes, this is Killian, Killian this is Natalie, Amara' s mother and her mate Angelo" I said introducing them.

Killian seems a natural at meeting people. He doesn't seem awkward at all. I sat watching him as he chatted with everyone. All I could think of is how much I want to get him alone and taste his lips. He is the hottest man I have ever seen and he is all mine. He felt me looking at him and turned to face me giving me a sexy smile. But what took my breath away is the love I can see clearly in his eyes.
