Chapter 7: Out of the Ordinary

Red's POV:

Silver and I went downstairs and met up with everyone else to take a cab to a nice restaurant. Yellow and Blue were planning on what pictures to take the entire ride. Why do girls need to plan everything out? They're just pictures. We arrived at the restaurant and took at least 1000 pictures. I was really hungry by then. Dinner was great. The food was extremely good. We left the restaurant and went back to the condos. I got undressed and put on some casual clothes. I really wanted to go sit on the beach, be by myself. The salty air and sea breeze was great. I soon was lost in my own thoughts. I almost fell asleep on the beach. I closed my eyes for maybe 20 minutes and didn't even notice Green laying down next to me. "Hey Red." He said. When did he get here? How did I not notice him? "Hey Green." I replied. "The beach is nice when it's just the two of us." He said. My heart rate quickly picked up. Dammit, I thought I wasn't nervous around him anymore. All I could manage to do is nod my head. "You know I like you Red." What?! What do I say now!? "Re-really?" I asked. "Of course, I find you to be very caring." Oh my god! Is he confessing!? "I like you a lot Red." I didn't know what to do! I wanted to tell him I like him also. Before I knew it, he was leaning in. He's kissing me! I felt electricity run through my blood, I quickly kissed back. It was so romantic. My first kiss is on the beach! This is the best trip I have ever taken in my life! We kept kissing until I needed to breathe. "Goodnight Red, I'll see you tomorrow." He said with a wink. I couldn't believe it. I watched him walk back to the condos. I decided it was getting too dark, so I went back to my room. I took a quick shower and got into bed. I'm pretty sure I smiled like an idiot the entire time.

I woke up at around 9 the next morning. Yellow said that we were going sight seeing. I got out of bed and took a shower. I grabbed a pair of shorts and a tee shirt and went to Yellow and Blue's room. That was my first mistake. They were dancing and singing to Single Ladies and cooking breakfast. "Hey Red! Come join us!" Blue said while dragging me to the center of the kitchen. I hate girls sometimes. I stood their awkwardly while they danced. "You're no fun!" Yellow said. Blue went to turn down the music and said, "The others will be over to eat breakfast with us. Did you not get my text?" I haven't looked at my cellphone yet. "No." "Well, you were supposed to get here at 10, but I guess it's okay you're here early. Help me make the waffles." After cooking for about 20 minutes, Silver, Gold, and Green came over. I felt butterflies in my stomach when I first heard his voice. "Smells good!" Gold said. We sat down to eat and I noticed that Gold wasn't sitting next to Silver. Hm. He would've already bothered him. "Alright, at 12, were going to visit the volcano on this island." Yellow explained. "A volcano? Are you trying to kill us?" Green asked. "It's dormant you moron. It'll be fun!" She added. I guess I'll bring Charmeleon with me since it's a volcano.

We arrived at the volcano, which is Cinnabar Island's most popular tourist attraction. The girls were intrigued by the history of it, and I was mostly focused on how my Pokémon was acting. He's never been happier haha. Silver mostly hung around me. Gold and Green were together feeding the Pidgey. "What's wrong with Gold?" I asked Silver. "I don't know, he would already done something to me. He has not even said a word to me today." He explained. "Haha do you miss him?" I teased. "Shut up." We went back to looking in the volcano. "Hey Red, Silver, come look at this!" Gold shouted. "He didn't call you Silvey." I said. "Something's wrong with him." He replied. We walked over to where Gold and Green and saw the Slugma entering the lava. "That's hardcore!" Gold said. "Why don't you go in there with them?" Silver told him with a smirk. Gold ignored him. "Did I do something to piss him off?" Silver whispered to me. I shrugged and continued to look at the Slugma. "Look Silver, they're the same color as your hair." Gold stated. Silver looked shocked. "That's the second time today he hasn't called me Silvey." He whispered to me. I looked at him with a confused expression. What was Gold doing? Gold walked off towards Yellow and Blue. "Do you think Green might know what he's doing?" I asked. "Maybe, lets ask him." He replied. "Hey Green, can I ask you something?" Silver started. "What is it?" "Why hasn't Gold been acting like, well, Gold?" He asked. "Oh, I can't tell you." He answered. "What?! Why not!?" Silver yelled. "You gotta ask him that yourself, heheh." Green replied while walking away. "Dammit, Gold is planning something." Silver stated. "Go ask Gold." I suggested. "I can't. It'll make me look weak." He answered. "If you like him, why won't you just tell him?" I asked. "That just isn't who I am. I'm the strong one here. You got lucky that Green over heard you saying you liked him." He snapped. I guess he's right. I would have never been able to tell Green that. But Gold is different than him, he would react differently.
