Chapter 9: Memories

Green's POV:

I wanted Red's number for multiple reasons. I need to ask him about what's going on with Silver and Gold. I already knew what Gold is planning, but I don't know about Silver. He's never really opened up to me. Red must know something. I also want to ask him out on a date. I'm planning on taking him to the Pokémon League since there will a huge tournament going on this weekend. I also miss seeing him all day, so I should at least text him frequently.

Gold and I are going to hang out at his house after school. We've been best friends ever since he moved here from New Bark Town, Johto. He was in my class in 5th grade and we became inseparable. Blue and Silver moved into the house behind Gold's since they were adopted in 8th grade. Yellow has always lived in Viridian City, but we haven't met her until later. She has been best friends with Blue since they moved here. I remember playing basketball outside at Gold's house when we first met Yellow and Blue.

Flashback:

"No fair, Green, you can't do that!" Gold complained. "It's not my fault that I'm better than you." I teased. "You suck, you can't trip me!" He shouted. "I didn't trip you!" I replied. "Hey, do you smell that?" Gold asked. "Smell what?" Gold can smell food from a mile away. The boy is constantly hungry. "It smells like cookies!" Gold shouted as he ran to the back of the yard. "Green! Come here!" He shouted as he started to climb the fence. We stopped to where only our heads were poking out from the fence. "Is that Blue?" I asked. "I think it is, and that girl with her, Yellow right?" Gold asked. "I think so, does one of them live here?" I asked. Gold shrugged. We continued to watch them until one of them turned around. "Green Oak! It is rude to spy on ladies you know!" Blue shouted. "Fuck! They saw us!" Gold shouted. "They're coming!" I yelled. We tried to get down before Blue could grab us. We got down and fell on the ground. Too bad Blue jumped the fence in time before we could bolt. "Why the hell were you spying on us you perverts?!" Blue shouted in my face. "We weren't spying!" Gold said. "Then why were you looking into my yard?!" She asked. So this was her house. Yellow jumped the fence to see what was happening. She had more of a confused face instead of a mad face. "We're sorry." I said. "We smelled cookies, so we came to investigate." Gold explained. "Why didn't you just ask to join?! You scared us!" Blue shouted. "Because we don't really know you." I said. "Green, we had English last year together." Blue said. That's right. She only said a few words to me though. "Oh yeah, haha." I laughed. "Well, since you want cookies so much, come with us." Yellow offered. We followed them to Blue's house and joined them. We learned a lot about them and got along quite well. They loved Gold, mostly because he has charm. We were having fun until we were interrupted by some boy. "Yellow, your dad called, he said you need to go home." He said. "Okay, bye everyone!" She said with a smile. "Who's the hotty?" Gold said nudging me. "Excuse me, that's my brother!" Blue said sternly. "He's your brother?! You look nothing alike!" He said defensively. "We were adopted together, idiot!" She shouted. "Well, he's good looking." Gold said while crossing his arms. I got a text from Daisy telling me to come home. I've basically been a test dummy for her cooking. "I have to go home. Bye Blue, bye Gold." I said as I walked off.

We have been really close ever since. We hang out all the time, Gold eventually met Silver and that's when his personality changed around other people. He pretty much fell hard for him. Gold told me in 7th grade that he liked boys. I told him that I was gay at the beginning of freshmen year. I didn't realize it until then. It's pretty funny that we both like the same gender. Silver has never shown interest in Gold until this past week. Maybe Red brought it out of him. I still can't believe I haven't even noticed him around Pallet Town! It's a small town! Has he come to my Grandpa's lab? I would have known though. I'll invite him over tomorrow then. Gramps loves meeting new people, especially kids who want to be trainers. He gives them their first Pokémon sometimes. He gave me a Squirtle when I was young. When I graduate, I plan on traveling Kanto with him and my Eevee. I got her from Bill, mostly so I don't cause any problems with him. I wasn't too happy that he's dating my sister. I know that Gold wants to travel around Johto since that's where he's from. He has a Cyndaquil and a Togepi with a fucking gambling problem. How the hell did he do that? Imagine how his kids will turn out. I wonder what Red will be doing when he graduates.

I decided to text Red to invite him to the lab tomorrow after school.
"Hey Red, what are you doing tomorrow?"
"Nothing yet, why?"
"I want you to come over to see my Grandpa's lab, only if you want to though."
"Sounds cool, I'll come."
"Awesome! Make sure you bring your Pokémon. He will love to see them."
"Okay."
Yay! He's coming over! Red already has 6 Pokémon. Pretty impressive if I say so myself. I need to know more about him. He popped up out of no where. When I first saw him in the cafe, I knew there was something about him. My heart started beating swiftly. I first noticed his eyes. They're a deep red. The only other person I know with red eyes is Ruby, but his aren't the same shade. I hope tomorrow goes well.
