Lovely Nights

You look at your husband lovingly as he fiddled with his bow tie trying to get it off. He unbuttoned his shirt and put on a pair of pj pants and climbed into bed with you.
"You know y/n it's a cold night tonight" he says slyly propping his head on his hand.

"And?" You tease.

"And!" Newt doesn't hesitate to jump on top of you and roll around. You laugh playfully until he stops and puts you in a spooning position. He buries his face in your neck and says, "I love you"
You smile and turn to face him. You kiss him on his freckled nose. He scrunches his face. "I love you too" you say.

He pulls you in so your body is now pressing against his. He strokes your hair and runs his hand over your shoulder and arm softly making you shiver a bit. You instinctively hold your hand to his cheek and trace down his jawline and to his lips. You decide to tease him and you turn back over so that you're the little spoon again.

"You're a real tease you know that?" Newt says softly. You just smile and fall asleep.
