It was freezing outside. The snow flew heavily down and you waited longingly for Newt to come home. You started folding laundry to keep busy but your mind still raced. You kept hoping for him to walk in through that door.

Your eyes were getting heavier and heavier as it began to get darker, the crackle of the dying embers were slowly lulling you to sleep. Before you could stop yourself, your eyes shut.

"Y/n?" Newt's voice called, "Y/n?" You thought it was a dream. You open your eyes and see Newt's bright green eyes staring into your's. "Up and at 'em" he crooned.

You groan, "You're late."

He chortled, "There's a lot of snow outside darling!" He says cheerfully.

"What else is new?" You say getting up.

"I do have something for you," he remarks, "But you have to come out to see it"

"Newt it's freezing!"

He gives you the puppy dog face that you can't stand, "That's not fair" you chuckle. He walks closer and closer until his pouty lips kiss yours. You smile, "Fine! Let me just get dressed."

About a half an hour later you go outside where Newt said he'd wait. "Okay I'm outside!" You say not seeing him.

You feel something hard and cold hit your back, "Oh!"

You turn around and Newt is there laughing his arse off. "Why you little-" you gather up a bunch of snow and throw it at him. It sticks in his hair and he shakes it out like a dog still laughing.
Before either of you knew what was happening it had erupted into a big snowball fight! You like to think you won, but you decide it's a tie.

Later you are cuddling by the fire with hot cocoa and a blanket wrapped around you both. "I love you y/n"
