   It was a normal day at your home. You were doing some knitting and Newt came crashing into the house. You jump but when you look at him he smiles, "Hello darling" he falls down and you run over to him immediately. He comes back to consciousness but barely and you start looking for a bite, sting, or gash. Soon enough you find on his back is two huge scratch marks. You swallow the vomit that was creeping up your system. You run to your apothecary cabinet and search for an ointment. You apply it to the wounds and Newt starts writhing in pain. "I know I'm so sorry Newt I'm so so sorry!" You chant on and on trying in vain not to panic. Newt eventually calms down with a sigh. You sit back on your knees and look at the injured man.

You waited by Newt's side all night. He was too heavy to carry and you barely slept. You wake up and see Newt's sleepy eyes looking back into yours, "You didn't think I'd leave you now do you?"

You start to cry and you almost hug him but he pushes you away reminding you about his wounds. "What happened to you?" You ask.

"Thunderbird" Newt pants, "Poor thing was being trafficked, had to sell an arm and a leg to save him."

You loved Newt dearly but you always feared his passion might be the death of him.

"I'll be fine, thanks to you." He smiles. You half heartedly smile back.

"Newt, I-I want you to know that I'm worried about you" you say, "I know you love your creatures but I'm terrified of what might happen if one of them hurts you." It pains you to say all of this.
Newts eyes are full of hurting, both physical and emotional.

"Y/n, I can't just abandon them. I know it's hard to understand but I have to take care of them. They need me."

"Newt," you reply, "I need you."

He looked deep into your eyes and you into his. He held the back of your head and pulled you into a kiss.

"I'll never leave you" Newt says as if reading your mind, "Besides scars carry stories, these I'll always remember how you cared for me and how much we love each other."

You smile and kiss again.
