Chapter Ten

-In Brooklyn- 

It has been a couple months without Steve and I'm broken. All I have been doing is sitting at different bars different nights drinking my life away. We had won the war and everyone was celebrating. Except me. I lost too many people from the war.

"Sky you can't live the rest of your life like this." Phillips told me.

"I can live my life the way I want. No one can stop me."

"Steve wouldn't have wanted you to live like this."

"The hell with Steve." I finally snapped. "He's not here. He's gone and never coming back. The rest of my life all I can think about is what it would be like if he was still here. What my life would be like. Would we have a life together. Would we have ever gotten married? Have kids? But I'll never know! He's gone! I'll never see him again!" I said while breaking down.

"Sky-"

"No! Don't." I said while walking out of the bar.

I was walking down an ally way trying to find a shortcut to get back to my apartment. I stopped when I heard something behind me.

"Hello? Any one there?"

"Ms. Tomlinson. It's nice to finally meet you." A German voice said.

"Who are you?"

"Oh did I forget to introduce my self?"
A short man came out from the shadows. "My name is Dr. Zola." Just then something hot the back of my head and blacked out.

I woke up in some room strapped down to a bed. I heard a door open and Dr. Zola came into view.

"Ah. Good to see you have woken ms. Tomlinson. We will get started momentarily."

"Start what? Where am I?"

"Answers will be given in due time." Zola said while walking to a table.

"No tell me where am I."

"A hydra base."

"How Steve-"

"Yes Steve got rid of them all. But if you cut off one head two more shall take its place."

"What are you gonna do to me?"
I questioned.

"Make you into something better than captain Rodgers ever was." Zola came back into view with a needed.

"No get away from me!" I screamed while trying to get out of the straps.

"Clam down it'll only hurt a bit." Zola said as the needle went into my neck. I slowly started to fade.
"Get ready for stage two." I heard Zola said as I passed out.

Third person p.o.v

"Wheel her to the lab. Someone might want to see her." Zola said to his workers. "Mr. Barnes I think there is someone you would want to see." Zola said as approaching a restrained Bucky Barnes.

"Go to hell." Bucky told Dr. Zola.

"Is that anyway to talk to someone who is holding the life of your best friend in their hands?"

"You told me Steve died."

"Not that best friend." As Dr. Zola finished his sentence hydra workers brought in a passes out Skylar.

"Sky! What did you do to her?" Bucky yelled out trying to break out the restraints.

"I simply put her to sleep. You would not comply so I had to find someone who would make you. Ever since you got that metal arm of yours you have tried to kill us. Which simply does not make any since. We as in hydra have given you a second chance at life."

"What are you going to do to her?"

"You love her don't you. More than a friend. I see it in your eyes. You never had the guts to tell her. You never had thought she would have fallen for Steve instead of you."

"I said what are you going to do to her?"

"Make her into the super soldier we want you to be. Then when all is done we will make her kill you then wake her up to realize what she has done. That is unless you comply with us."

"Fine just don't hurt her."

"Oh I never said anything about not hurting her. I said I wouldn't turn her into a super soldier." Zola said while walking around to get a different variety of needles.

"What are you doing?"

"Showing you not to go against hydra. Bring me the serum." As Zola ordered his workers around Sky was starting to wake up.

"B-Bucky?" Sky questioned as she finally awoke.

"Yes I'm here Sky."

"Buc what's going on."

"You're going to be fine. Don't worry."

"Buc how are you alive. I thought you were dead."

"It's hard to explain."

"Steve would be so happy to know that your alive. Oh my Steve he's-he's-"

"I know sky. I'm so sorry." Bucky said while tears formed in his eyes.

"Bucky are we- are we going to get out of here."

"Yes we will get out of here soon enough."

"Ah Mr. Barnes did you already forget our agreement? You two will not be going anywhere."

"Wha-what is he talking about Bucky."

"Mr. Barnes agreed to comply if you are to be left out of this experiment. But he did not realize you would be of to other use."

"Wha-what do you mean?"

"Get me the machine!" Dr Zola ordered. Just a few seconds later two hydra workers brought in a machine to hold one person. "Put her in there."

"No stop I'll do anything stop!" Begged Bucky trying to save the women he had a crush on for so many years but was to afraid to say anything. As they put Sky in the machine and hooked up tubes into her Dr. Zola starred to talk to Bucky.

"You might want to tell her your feelings now. You may never get to do so again."

"Buc what is he talking about."

"Sky I-I-I lo-"

"You're taking to long. Proceed with experiment."

"No wait!" Bucky yelled as Dr. Zola turned the machine on. All you could hear was Skylars screams.
