It had been year since Skylar had quit being what others would know her as the Canary. After losing her only family left she had, she decided to quit. Peggy begged her not to but she wouldn't listen. Her uncle was gone. Peggy was always busy with S.H.I.E.L.D, Skylar felt that she had no one. Howard let her move in with him and his wife. He wanted Skylar to be close so he could run tests on her. Since Zola kidnapped her and experimented on her, her life had changed. She never aged a day. She had looked the same as she did when she fought in world war two. That was the only thing that changed in her that day. Due to the experiments Dr. Zola preformed, Skylar know had an ultrasonic scream. Howard Stark helped her control her new ability. Skylar could not thank him enough. Over the years the two of them had gotten closer. Once Howard had his son Skylar was named the godmother. Skylar thought she had finally gotten her life in order. That her life was going good. But once Howard and his wife were killed she didn't know what to do. It was just her and Tony now. As Tony was continuing what his father was doing in order to deal with everything, Skylar turned to alcohol. What she didn't know is that her life was about to change again.

I walked into Stark tower looking for Tony.
"Hey Sky." I heard someone say behind me. I turned around to see Pepper.
"Oh, hey Pepper. Have you seen Tony?" I asked her.
"He's in the lab."
"Okay thank you." I said while turning to walk to the lab. As I got to the lab I saw Tony working on one of his suits. 'Must be a new one' I thought. "Hey Tony." I said while walking into the lab.
"Hey Sky. What brings you here?" Tony asked.
"What I can't come see my godson without needing a reason to?"
"Skylar"
"Okay fine. I was just wondering if Fury has talked to you at all."
"No he hasn't. Sky I haven't accepted his offer about joining the S.H.I.E.L.D and I won't I promise. Why do you keep worrying about it?" He asked me.
"Because I lost a lot of people because of it and I can't lose you too. I still don't like you being Iron man you know."
"Says the women who was the Canary."
"Hey, I quite after my Uncle passed. After that I walked away. Still think your dad and Peggy were mad at me. But your dad did give me a place to stay. Granted I think he just wanted to see if I will ever age. I still think he always tried to recreate the serum they used on me."
"Do you ever want to age, you know grow old."
"At a time I did but what's the point if I can't be with-"
"With Rogers I know."
"Sorry I know how you feel about him because of your dad. I keep forgetting."
