For a minute there ... I lost myself

I'm still here hanging around.

The minutes go by.

My head spins round and round.

Then it happened.

BANG

NO. Please not again. It didn't happen for a while. Please stop the never ending crashing.

"I found you!" Came a familiar  voice. I hadn't heard any other voice for a while.

And I think it was ... Jack. Wait what? No it can't be.

"What happened here ? Oh my ... Jesus. Let's get you out of here Alim"

I couldn't mutter out a few words. "Wai- wait. Let me see your face"

He came up to me quickly and shined a light in my face. And to my amazement. It was him.

I broke down. Tears made way down my face. I could not believe what I was seeing.

"It's ... Its you. Oh my god." I cried and sobbed again as he loosened me down.

"You're covered in so much blood ... What did he do to you?"

I couldn't speak. I just kept crying and crying. This is happening. I don't have to see him again. He helps support my dangerously skinny body and started to help me walk into the darkness.

"The banging" I said. "The endless banging"

"What banging?" He said. He sounded confused.

"You didn't hea-" I was lost for words as I was falling into a sleep.

"Wake up! Wake up!" He said with a loud voice. He attempted to the door we were at but failed.

"Shit" he said. "The door must have closed when I entered and must be one way. Is there any way I could open it? "

I can a bit more clearly now as the adrenaline was kicking in, we were escaping this hell whole and I have accepted this is happening.

"He had a remote. On his desk I think"

He put me down slowly and carefully and made his way towards his desk. I couldn't see him though, I'm surprised I haven't lost my sight by now. It looked like he disappeared into darkness. But it got better. The room was taking shape and I could see him at the desk with the remote in his hand.

He turned round. With the remote in his hands. He pressed a button and the door behind me shot open. I've never heard a greater noise in my life. The sound of hope and relief.

"I'm getting you out of here. The exit isn't far from here"

I looked up at him and managed to crack a smile. The tears continued to run down my face. I looked at the pools of blood that stained the floor. It was a sight I never want to see again.

Jack picked me up. We slowly made our way out the door and made our escape from hell.
