I was shocked at what she had said to me. All this time I thought she was bisexual or something. I was a bit angry but I didn't know what to feel anymore. I ran upstairs as quickly as I could and put my stuff away as I was so baffled on what just happened. I took a shower and put some calming music on. One of my favorites with calming my nerves, "Here comes the sun" by The Beatles. John Lennon was always my favorite. I blasted it through the bathroom walls and took a hot shower. Something about water falling down you and being alone with your thoughts makes as good of a combination as eating popcorn while watching a movie. I then got dressed and went to bed still emotionless.

-----------------

We didn't have school today so I decided to go out by myself. I went to shop for clothes and saw Mindy and her boyfriend who was a senior, Zac. (This is one of the reasons I don't go out). I suddenly went out of the junior's aisle and went to the place they wouldn't be; the book aisle. I didn't even know what they were doing shopping in early morning. I overheard their conversation while opening a book called, "David Copperfield" by Charles DIckens.

"Why are we shopping at 6 in the morning Mindy?," Groaned Zac, I'm surprised he's a senior.

"Because the party is in a few days and daddy wants me to look my best and I will"

"Well did you have to drag me into it?"

"You're my boyfriend and you have to be loyal to me, it's hard being this pretty and smart AND pleasing daddy"

He secretly eye rolled and I quietly snickered.

"Here, try this on Zac," Said Mindy as she gave him a pink dress shirt that seemed a size too small. He slouched his way to the men's dressing room and as Mindy was distracted, I had attempted to get back to the juniors aisle as fast as possible. Being my clumsy self, I dropped the book as I was ⅓ to my destination. I swore under my breath. Mindy turned around and smiled with open arms. Although she is one of the nicest, smartest, prettiest, and popular girls in school, she gets annoying 70% of the time. She could be nice to have small talk but not to be a close friend. I flinch and realize what's happening.

"Caroline!!! HI! How's it going?"

"Good"

"What are you doing here shopping?"

"I always come here.."

"How come I never saw you?"

"I-i don't go out much"
"Well you should, it's good for the soul. I have an idea, how about you come to my party? My annual spring party is this weekend, bring that tomboy friend of yours. Be more social girl!"

"You mean Max?"

She nodded. "Well I gotta go, find more shirts and cute shorts I found on the juniors aisle" She left and I was questioning what she said.

Was I really Max's friend anymore?
