Saving a Life Season 2: How far will I go? Remastered.

Never think otherwise

Its been about 2 weeks since we been apart of Alexandria and its been peaceful.

No walkers.

No lives being lost.

No fear.

AJ knows that he has to be quiet but he never said a peep since we were here. Jane and Molly been trying to help me with AJ.

Other than that, he has made progress, he started walking. He takes two steps then fell on his bum then he does it again but he keeps going. We're so proud of him.

Me and Carl has gotten closer. Instead of us fighting walkers at every turn, we walk down the streets of  Alexandria talking about older times, where the dead weren't eating everyone's faces off.

It was a ongoing conversation we always talked about when we have time to be together. It was nice.

Currently, me, Javier, and molly go on runs while Jane stayed back and to watch the outside of the walls of Alexandria with Maggie and Glenn.

"Clem can you tell me how you got out of Savannah and where were you before we found each other." Molly started.

"I know it will bring back some unwanted memories but I'm just curious how you survived." Molly said as I was washing dishes.

"After you left, Lee told me that we didn't have time to look for my parents. So when Lee fell asleep  I...... I left to the person who I thought cared." I started as I continued to wash dishes.

"It turned out that person didn't have my parents like he said so when I got to the marsh house he lead me to a small apartment and we talked about how his wife thought he was a monster and he thought that I could be his new child." I started.

"I refused and tried to run but then he grabbed me by my dress and throw me into a closet until Lee came. He told Lee the same things he told me but he was going to hurt him. So I get out of the closet and Lee motioned me to his butcher knife and I attacked the stranger and Lee tried to choke him out but then he was getting weak so I had to shoot him. Lee saved me once again." I said as I put a dish in a cabinet.

"Then we left the marsh house covered in walker gore and we went right through until I stopped and I saw my parents as walkers then Lee fainted and I locked us in the jewelry store. He was dying so he told me to put him out of his misery so I did." I said finishing up my chore.

Javier, Jane and Carl came in.

"What are you guys talking about?" Carl asked.

"Just my past." I said plainly.

"May we join in on the conversation?" Javier asked.

"Sure." I replied.

"Then I used the walkers gore on me and I walked straight through the herd. I went back to the train like Lee told me but it was overrun with walkers to I assume no one would be there." I said as I sat at the kitchen table. Molly told them what they missed.

"Clem are you going to tell us what happened before you met molly?" Jane asked.

"That's a story for another time." I answered.

"Sure Clem." Carl said.

"Do you want to continue?" Molly asked.

"Nah, not now at least." I said.

"Take your time." Javier said.

I went upstairs and sat on my bed. How did a girl like me and a young boy like AJ survive this.....new world. We've been through a lot of shit. Even when AJ wasn't born yet, we been through a lot to protect him.

I snapped out of my thoughts as my room door opened revealing Carl with AJ in his arms. Carl put AJ on the floor with his toys. Carl sat next to me on my bed while I watched AJ go straight for his toys.

"So this Lee character,  he saved your life a lot huh?" Carl asked.

"I did too you know, and yeah he saved me. Sometimes I have nightmares about him and all the people who died to keep me alive. So in a way it's my fault isn't it?" I said feeling guilty.

"No, its not your fault. You made there lives better and gave them something to live for. So don't beat yourself up." Carl said.

"I know but..... I had a friend named Kenny. He had a wife and a kid named Duck. On day a bandit rated our camp and duck got bit in the process. So Kenny kept denying that his son was dying." I started. 

"When his wife confronted him about it he....he was scared. So his wife was going to do it herself but instead she killed herself and Lee had to shoot duck cause Kenny couldn't take it." I said.

"So Kenny became this cold, hardened, man then some years later I found him again and apparently he had a girlfriend named Sarita but the same thing happened to her she was bit and I had to cut off her arm but it didn't work she was turning fast and I had to stop it so I put her out of her suffering then Kenny got mad at me." I said.

"Then when it came down to AJ being born he wouldn't stop at nothing to keep him safe. Then Jane and him fought and I had to shoot him cause I know that he was losing it so I brought him back to his family. The same thing happens to everyone. All those people died to protect me and it always ends up hurting in the end." I explained.

"Never think otherwise." I finished.

"Wow, Kenny lost a lot. Well I'm glad you brought him back to what he needed most." Carl said as he gave me a hug.

"I'll will never think otherwise, you saved that man." car said.

"Yeah, yeah I did." I said as I look at AJ.
