Richard woke up at midnight in a cold sweat; something felt wrong. He quickly grabbed his phone and texted Jimmy to ask fro Cake's number. As soon as he got it, he began messaging the number franticly.
Richard-Hey Cake. This is Richard.
Richard-I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry.
Richard-I tired to stand up to Shane for you, but I feel like I made everything worse.
Richard-I'm so sorry Cake. I wanted to stand up for you, like you did for me.
Richard-I messed up and now Hidden Block probably hates me along with Normal Boots, Shane is probably going to beat me up next time he sees me, and I feel like Hidden Block and Normal Boots only talk to me because I'm pitiful.
Richard-PBG begged me to join the karaoke competition for Normal Boots. I'm not doing it for NB or for HB. I want to do it for myself. That and he was giving me puppy dog eyes.
Richard-I'm so sorry Cake.
He passed out after the last message; his body was still too fatigued to function. He was awoken around eleven by knocking at his door.
"Richard. Come on! We're going to do some to get to know everyone better." PBG hollered threw the wood separating them. Richard quickly changed into his uniform and walked out to see the happy boy. The smaller one only waved. He was dissociating; his body, mind, and emotions felt numb. PBG talked on and on until they reached a club room. "We are going to play never have I ever!" He cheered as he opened the door. Everyone, except for Shane, sat at the tables in the room talking. PeanutButterGamer forced him to sit between Jared and himself before latching onto the smallest male in the room like a leach. Jared gently ran his fingers through Richard hair. The gay cocked an eyebrow at their behavior.
"What are you guys doing?" Jirard asked from across the table.
"Richard needs to be loved! He's been through a lot..." PBG defended. Jirard smiled and shrugged. No one could fight PBG when his mind was made up.
"Alright. Hold up the 'I have' or 'I have never' in response to the questions asked." Paul stated and grabbed a slip of paper from a bowl. "Never have I ever...played D&D?" He asked with confusion. Richard moved his hand to 'I have' and held up the notecard. Only he held up that card.
"R-really?" Jared asked as he stopped petting the gay's hair. Richard nodded and pulled a necklace out from under his shirt that had two rings suspended on the cord: on acted as a life counter and the other as a makeshift twenty sided die supplement. Jared seemed to sparkle more with the information while Paul, Nick, and Josh snickered. Jirard grabbed a slip and set his sign down to open it.
"Never have I ever...had my first kiss?" He asked slowly. Richard set his card down and grabbed 'I have not'....once again, he was alone. His face was hot with shame and embarrassment. PBG pulled away from him and sat up as the Normal Boots members began asking, more like arguing, to see who everyone's first kiss was. Richard silently stood and walked out of the room unnoticed. He set his course to go back his room but was stopped in front of Bluebell.
"You think that just because you're managing to hang out with Normal Boots and Hidden Block that you're popular now? You must be more pathetic than I thought..." The same jock that mocked him before trailed off as he and his posse surrounded Richard. Two of them picked him up as they made their way to the tree. "Ya little faggot! You need to learn where your place is. And it aint here!" He yelled as he began punching Richard. His lackeys were just there to keep Richard from running away. The jock avoided his lower arms, lower legs and face but focused the blows mainly to the gay male's thighs, hips, stomach, and chest. Richard couldn't fight back; the two that had carried his there held his arms tightly. One covered his mouth so he couldn't call for help. But Richard kicked like a wild man. He landed a few blows of his own but it didn't matter. They threw him to the ground as the group laughed and walked off. Richard crawled to the safety of the tree and curled up. No tears graced his cheeks due to the sobfest he had the night before. Hoping that no one would bother him now, Richard forced himself to fall asleep to ease the pain.
