Richard and Jared started having more secret dates: the roof of Bluebell, the field of flowers, even the Normal Boots club room. Although they were all lovely locations and equally lovely dates, they both preferred to simply spend time together in one of their rooms. In Richard's room they cuddled and talked; sometimes they danced. In Jared's room they played games. Well, most times Jared played the game and Richard was a backseat gamer.
"You didn't pick up the glow ring." Richard muttered pointing at the small item on screen.
"I don't need it. I can see just fine." Jared assured. Richard grinned and laid his head on Jared's shoulder.
"I bet you one kiss you'll need it in ten levels or less." He whispered although they were the only ones in the room. If glitter could blush, it would have; Jared's face flushed pink as he processed the statement. He silently moved to the next level where it was too dark to see. "I'll take my kiss now." The American said smugly before placing a peck on the Player's cheek. Jared's faces burned brighter as he paused the game.
"Why am I dating you again?" Jared asked sarcastically. He turned and gave Richard the chaste kiss he desired. Richard chuckled.
"You tell me sweet pea. Why ARE you dating me?" He asked with a smirk. Jared faked a heavy sigh and stared at his doofus.
"Well, you're cute. And you're funny. And you're smart. Quick-witted. Charming." Jared finished each thought with a kiss; each longer than the last, until there was no point in talking anymore. Had Richard been watching anyone else do this, he would have said they were sucking face through a bendy straw. Considering it was his face and his lovers face though, Richard could let it slide. As things began to get a wee bit too hot, Jared's phone rang. The two separated with flushed faces and broad smiles. Jared cleared his throat and held his phone to his ear.
"Hello? Ah! Yes I'm on my way. I was just picking up Richard. Well of course he's coming with! He's become somewhat of my assistant lately. Yeah. We'll get Peebs on our way too. Bye Satch." He hung up with a sigh. Richard had a mischievous grin plastered to his face.
"Oh I'm your assistant all right. Assistant to your lips." He muttered and walked towards the door. Jared froze for a moment before catching up to the smaller boy.
"I imagined you were going to say something else." The sparkle man stated as they crossed into the hall and moved towards the stairs. Richard rolled his eyes.
"That's not very professional, Mr. Future Model." Baby hands replied. Jared pouted and pulled out his phone.
"PB will be at the soccer field. Then we can cut across to get to the club meeting." He managed to say while texting as he strolled gracefully down the stairs. Richard rushed ahead and held the door for his busy boyfriend. Moments later, they both started off towards the field. They didn't talk for fear of hinting at their secret relationship. Someone like Jared shouldn't be seen with the likes of Richard, in the American's opinion at least, but it has been easy enough to mask as a boss-assistant relationship. Richard would carry things for Jared and take his unimportant phone calls while the other was busy. This wasn't only a mask; Richard honestly wanted to help Jared so he did these things to try and non-verbally say 'I love you. I appreciate what you have done for me, so I will do something for you.'
As they approached the field, a sweaty PeanutButterGamer ran up to them with a bag in tow. "Hey guys! Meeting time!" He said happily. The other two smiled at his enthusiasm.
"Let's get going then. Do you have everything?" Richard asked while scanning his eyes across the grass, bleachers, shirtless players, and ground. Wait a minute...Richard is in a committed relationship. A rather happy one, he would say. But if he's looking at other men he isn't fully invested, now is he? Maybe it's just the weather or the fact that he is tired he thought to himself. PBG's laugh pulled him out of his thoughts.
