So baby pull me closer in the back seat of your Rover that.- I reach over and shut off the alarm clock. Time for school I guess. I get out of bed and rub my eyes. My room is just starting to see the light of day. I go and take a nice hot shower. It wakes me up and relaxes my mind. I use my favorite soap from Bath And Body Works. I rinse off and go pick out my outfit for the day. I think I will go with my dark wash skinny-jeans, black tank top and a sweater.
I finish brushing my hair and makeup and do a quick glance over myself to make sure I look good. I'm satisfied, and head downstairs to eat breakfast. I can hear the T.V. going and smell the bacon sizzling before I even enter the room. Dad is already reading the daily news, and mom is finishing the bacon.
"Good morning my lovely parents!" I announce as I enter the room. I give my parents each a hug and a kiss as they greet me back.
My mother turns off the stove and hollers into the living room "Andrew, breakfast is ready. Its bacon and eggs with toast-just the way you like it." He sets down the paper and takes a seat next to me. He pulls the plate closer to him and takes a sip of coffee.
"So,my sweet, sweet daughter: See anymore of those colors lately?" I nearly choke on my chocolate milk and feel blood rush to my face. Mom must have told him about what happened.
I swallow what remains of my milk and clear my throat. "Uh, no nothing really big. I just bump into him sometimes at school. That's when I really get to see them." I look up from my plate, and see both him and my mom smiling at me.
"Don't worry honey, you'll get there. You're sweet, and kind, and beautiful. He'll fall." Hearing my mother say that both made me feel more confident and scared me even more than I already was. I gave them each a half smile and finished my food.
After I was done and put my plate and cup away, I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I fished it out of the tight-fitting jeans, and checked it out. Of course, it was from Sam. The message said
"OMG!!! GIRL YOU GOTTA GET TO SCHOOL NOW!!!!"
I chuckled a bit, then responded.
"Ok i'll be right down"
I hopped in my car, and was on my way to school when I saw it. There was a huge wreck outside the school. There was probably three or four cars in one pile. The cars were all unfamiliar to me, so I just kept driving. Something caused the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up, and it sent a shiver down my spine. I ignored the feeling, and kept driving to my parking spot. I parked and headed towards where the cars were, and found Sam.
"Ava! There you are! Where were you?!" She barked at me, making me feel a bit uneasy.
"I was at my house, eating breakfast. I don't normally show up to school until a little later anyway.," I informed her, hoping to lighten the tension at least a little bit.
"Ava, My boyfriend was in the car! Edward was in there! He was texting me and got into a wreck at the intersection!" I could see now that Sam's mascara had been all over her face, and she had obviously been crying. I didn't know what really to do, so I just gave her the best hug I had and told her he would be okay. I sure hope he would for her sake.
Just then, I came to realize something. If you only see the colors when you touch your soul mate, then how come Sam and Eddie never saw the colors? Shouldn't they have seen them if they were truly soul mates?
Before I could think any longer, Sam pulled away from me and shocked me with what she said next. "Ava, I hate to say this, but I was going to break up with him today." I looked at her in the eyes as she wiped away tears and more of the black makeup.
