A woman with blonde hair and striking blue eyes walked towards the entrance, she's wearing a ravishing skin tight black dress with a gorgeous pair of bright red heels.

She smiled widely the moment she step on the heart of the hospital, "Now where's the nurse's station—ah, there it is." She sauntered towards the nurse's station with a menacing grin.

She leaned over the white curved table that separates the guest and the employees.

The nurse's eyes widened the moment she saw the blonde woman, "W-What can I do for you Ma'am?" She asked politely.

The blond smiled at her and asked as softly as she can muster, "What room is (Full name) at?"

The nurses went to her computer and look for the room number but before that she asked, "And what relation do you have on the patient Ma'am?"

"I'm Selene Addams, her friend."

[ Y/N'S ROOM]

Gray stared at the woman in front of him with a satisfied smile.

At least she's fine. . .for now. He thought.

(Y/n) was eating a pair of pork dumpling while sitting crossed-leg on the bed. She was too occupied on her food that she didn't even notice Gray was stroking her hair.

She looked up in the most subtle way as possible and her eyes widened ten-fold.

She could noticed Gray's dark circles, his skin was pale and his body was skinny, like he's only one cough away. If she didn't know him, she would've call him a sickly man but she knew better.

He's in this state because of her, because she was weak and a good for nothing damsel.

"I'm sorry," She mumbled as she look down over her open palm with the dextrose attached on her wrist. It hurts alright, a small subtle movement can make a tinge of pain all over her right arm.

Gray suddenly froze as he look at (Y/n) with his sharp gaze. "For what?"

She pursed her lips into a thin line as she rubbed her lids with a troubled face. ". . .For everything" she continued as she clenched her fist. "I'm a burden to all of you."

She was guilty, she doesn't even know why she's confined on this hospital, all she knew was she fainted because of sleep deprivation and every god damn time, Gray would rescue her.

Gray's breathing hitch as he slowly pull her over his chiseled chest.
"You're not a burden." He exclaimed sternly as he rubbed soothing circles on her back.

She leaned over his chest, inhaling the fresh lemons he gave out, "If you just left me on the street to rot, if you just didn't call me, if you just didn't offer me a place to live, if you just didn't give me food to eat and food to drink. . ." She sobbed as tears spilled over her face, Gray shut his eyes as he listened to
(Y/n)'s words, his heart cracking every time tears rolled off her beautiful hues.

"Shhh, (Y/n), you're okay." He assured as he kissed her hair.

". . .If you just left me there to die." She mumbled, her voice cracked.

Gray's pupil's dilated as he hold on (Y/n)'s shoulders and let her face him. "Don't say things like that!" He fumed as he shook her shoulders.

(Y/n)'s breathing hitched as she stare at Gray's eyes with her eyes widening, "If I left you there then. . .I—I won't discover this new feeling," he whispered as he touched his left chest where his heart was. "Where your heart pounds and you're feeling jittery."

He averted her gaze towards the ceiling and chuckled, "You're the sole reason why I live till this day. . ." He whispered lovingly as he kissed her forehead, (Y/n) could feel the warmth illuminating from Gray's lips on her forehead and she felt like she was lifted from the problems of her everyday life.
