A few inches of snow had fallen last night, making the way to Ashley's house difficult and tiring. Thankfully, it could of been even more difficult, she had made a trail from her house to the daycare earlier today. We where just about there when she turned to face me. "Since were outside, why not play in the snow a little?" Ashley suggested. She has a GIANT backyard, last year we built like ten snow castles. I grinned slightly. "Fine with me"
The snow is like the perfect kind to build walls. It's thick, sticks well together, but doesn't hurt too much when you get it thrown in your face. The snow in the backyard was waist deep, making it perfect for secret tunnels, which my castle/fort was full of. The actual wall was actually only about a foot high, but because the snow was already about two feet high, it was actually 3 feet on my side.
Once we were done building(and making our snowball stack), we sent out our pokemon, they love snowball fights. Ashley's wall was slightly taller than mine, but not as long, and I suspect there is a bunch of tunnels since theres no way all her pokemon fit behind that wall. I go to make the first move, but as I was about to throw the snowball, I see Zodiac levitating upward with five snowballs levitating behind him. He threw them, and three actually missed the wall completely while one almost hit me and the other hit the wall. The Lampent didn't throw very hard, telling just by the sound the snowball made when it hit the wall. I looked over the ghost-fire type again, he was already starting to levitate more snowballs. "Sparx, left tunnel" I tell Sparx. The Luxio grinned, then dived into the designated tunnel.
"Cyn!" The fire type pokemon some snow that was moving, like if something was digging just under the surface. I grin slightly, Gible, just by the size of the moving snow. Togekiss must've read my mind, I actually wouldn't be surprised, she used psychic, or probably metronome to throw a few snowballs in the general area of the pokemon. One probably hit, since the snow stopped moving and the top of Gible's head was visible. By then Zodiac was launching another volley of snowballs, one missed me by about an inch, while another hit Flare (my Cyndaquil, since you probably forgot) clean of the wall. The other missed by a long shot, Zodiac never had good aim. Gible was out of the snow and stumbling his was back to Ashley's wall. I counted her pokemon, Zodiac was obvious, Gible was there, I could see Firefly's tail coming from behind the wall and her Myst's head would sometimes pop up from behind the wall. That left Nincada and Drake. I ducked as one of Zodiac's snowball hurled right for my face.
I turn to Togekiss and Sunfire "Togekiss, copy Zodiac, Sunfire, if any snow balls hurl your way, turn it to water." Both pokemon nodded in sync and took their position, Togekiss had better aim than the Lampent, I knew that much. I turned to Gaze, who was making a bunch of snowballs. "Gaze, enough snowballs for now, follow me to the tunnel" I said before diving in a tunnel. The Absol did not protest and followed me. A few minutes later, we had a second short wall closer to Ashley's. And I also found out where Drake was, he came out of a tunnel near the wall and charge straight for it, probably looking to destroy it. Togekiss's good aim took him down and he retreated back to the tunnel.
I looked up towards Zodiac, he didn't notice us, at all. I took the chance to throw a well-aimed snowball, hitting the ghost type and making the pokemon fall on Ashley's wall. Now we got that un aimed, slow machine gun down. Drake did not forget us however, few seconds later he rolled a big snowball, making us retreat back into the tunnel as he blocked off the exit. He fell for the trick however, I heard Sparx blow out from under the snow and send a great amount of snowballs the Fraxure's way. There was the familiar snow smashing sound when Drake got knocked out cold.
Me and Gaze got back to the main wall, Sparx returned under the snow, in case another pokemon fell into the trap. I grinned slightly, peeking up from the wall, surprisingly at the same time as Ashley did. Moments later I got a snowball in the face, and a caught a glimpse of Ashley falling down, struck too. I didn't throw any snow at her, and she didn't either. I looked to my left, a Lampent was grinning madly. It was not Zodiac however. Behind the Lampent was a familiar figure, Jonathan.
