Shattered Mirrors (Pokemon Fan-Fic)

Chapter 7

I was dreaming about... oh, I can actually not remember. I know i was dreaming when I heard something bang, might be a bird pokemon. The banging at my window continued. I turned and put a pillow over my head. "WAKE UP AND GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE" Nope, not a bird pokemon.

I lift my head sleepily. Only to find Sara banging at my bedroom's window. I admit i fell out of the bed in chock. My room is on the second floor of my house. It's a wonder how she got there. "HURRY UP, ILL WAIT AT THE DOOR"

I make sure to close the blinds before changing from pijamas to casual clothes. Then raced downstairs, waking up my pokemon in the process.

I opened the door and shivered at the cold winter air rushed into the dinning room. "Dafuq did you get to my window?" I ask, half furious.

"Doesn't matter, there's a bunch of people at Ashley's house" Said Sara so quickly i almost didnt understand. "Define a bunch of people" I ask. "Black suits, a few lab coats and a bunch of VERY powerful pokemon" She answered.

Moment of silence.

"FUCK" The word repeated about ten times in my head. "What do you think ran through my mind when i saw it, they shooed me away"Said Sara, about as furious as i was.

"Lets go pay them another visit then" I hiss, making my way to Ashley's house. "Jonathan, its minus 18 degrees Celsius"

The government wants Giratina, and they'll do anything to get to it, Sara, Ashley and I are just in the way of their goal.

I get back inside to put my winter jacket before going back outside. "Lampent!" my fire type pokemon wrapped its 'arms' around my neck, holding on and heating me up a bit. i returned my other pokemon into their pokeballs a wile ago.

The place was crowded with people, mostly the government trying to keep people from investigating, they should know our town by now, all its residents are curious and do not like the government interfering with our everyday life. By interfering i mean being in at least a one kilometre radius of the village. Some neighbours where even yelling curses at them.

A younger guy turned to face us. "Do you know what's happening? You two are Ashley's close friends." I looked at the 8th grader in the eyes. "Kid, just don't, even if we tell you you wouldn't believe us." I pushed him out of the way, hearing him mutter something at the person next to him.

I heard Ashley's mother argue with an agent. I didn't quite get the conversation, at the same time they pretty much pulled Ashley out of her house, not that it needs much to pull Ashley out of anywhere. "Your daughter might of found something of national threat" I heard the agent talking to Ashley's mother say.

Ashley heard. "NATIONAL THREAT MY ASS, YOU DONT HAVE PROOF" That was unlike Ashley to say, but i guess she's PRETTY pissed. I looked at another guy next to me, about my age. "Did they find anything out of the ordinary in her house?'' i ask. The guy shook his head."They said they where looking for a stone or a meteor, they didn't find any, but ordered for all six of her Pokemon to be taken, along with her." I paused, then looked at Ashley, who happened to be looking right at me. Her lips moved, forming a word. Sara understood it."Nincada" She whispered in my ear.

Son of a bitch, Ashley doesn't have six pokemon in her house, she has seven.

"Everyone out of the way, were leaving now" Yelled a government agent. Leaving with one trainer and six of her seven pokemon. Sara was furious, and i cant say that i wasn't. Was Nincada still in the house? Or did the bug hitch a ride with the government?

I pushed Sara's Noibat away from my head. Sara dropped onto her living room couch. I decided to come over, obviously. "Dafuq do we do now?'' I ask. Sara opened her mouth to respond, but the doorbell echoed through the house. "No one rings the doorbell around here unless it was Ashley who tripped and hit it by accident." I looked at Sara with a pissed off face. I wasn't in the mood for jokes.

I got to the door first and opened it. To my suprise, i saw a red haired girl of my age whit bright red clothes that were not quite right for the weather. Two thoughts crossed my mind; who the hell is she? and Its minus 18 Celsius.

"Hello?" Asked Sara. I looked more closely at the girl, her clothes where either red or white and her skin was extremely pale. Her nails where coloured blue and she had a triangle pendent of the same colour. She held a strange orb in each hand. "Someone asked me to give you guys these orbs." Said the girl. Giving me and Sara the orbs. I noticed something else, her voice was, not quite right. I don't know how to explain it. "Tanks, i guess" I say.

The girl smiled, then just, left. I've never seen that girl before, never. no one moved into town, no one visited since the end of summer. Maybe i just didn't notice her before now.

"Hey, it's Absol-coloured" Sara took me out of my thinking. She was talking about her orb apparently. I looked at mine, i looked at mine, not able to distinguish a pokemon out of the colours. "Is that supposed to be a joke?" I ask, still not in a joking mood. "no really, its Absol-coloured" She replied. Showing me the stone. A coincidence i suppose?

But i know better by now. Nothing is a coincidence anymore. A rock falls from the sky, a legendary in a basement, the attack at the neighbouring village, the government practically kidnaping Ashley and now this. Serious shit is going on, and i think we are part of it.

"I have a crazy idea" I broke the silence. Sara looked at me. "I'm listening" I tilted my head slightly."Do you know where the Government takes Ashley?"

Sara looked at me with wide eyes. I probably read her mind. "Yeah, I just said that"

"I can probably look it up" Said Sara. I nodded "You do that, imma try to find a way to get there." Crazy idea, i know, we would drop out of school by doing this, besides, we have nothing to lose, we finished school pretty much.

Sara turned at me. "Couldn't we just fly there?" She asked. "You could" I started."I don't have a flying pokemon that can carry my weight." "Ah" She turned back to her computer.

A few minutes later she turned again. "From what i can see its the old fossil zoo, that made another level in the basement to be hidden" I was uncertain. "How reliable is the info?" I ask. "Every site, every forum says the same thing"

"Good enough, and we can just use the train station to get close to there. Then go by pokemon back" Sara nodded "Fine by me, when do we leave?" I paused, thinking. "Tomorrow, before school starts."
