Stark and I walked out of the hallway a moment later. She told everyone that she was going to introduce me to Jason. They seemed okay with that so she led me into the garage. It was full with expensive cars. Stark's.
"Does he honestly need all of these cars? I mean really, how often does he drive?" Stark laughed. "Especially with that suit. Looks like he has a garage full of wasted money." She smiled.
"You're funny." I shrugged.
"Helps cover the pain." She gave me a half smile.
"I know the feeling." She agreed. I nodded slightly. We stood there in silence before she pointed to a less flashy car in the corner that looked like it hasn't been driven in a while. "That would be my car." I raised an eyebrow.
"That old rust bucket?" I questioned. She nodded. "If you left your car here then how do you get around?" She laughed as we headed to the car. "I'm serious. It'll be awfully tiring walking around on foot from place to place." She raised an eyebrow.
"Says the girl that doesn't have a car." She countered. I shook my head, opening the passenger side door.
"I at least can levitate like you saw earlier. You don't have anything." She smirked as we both climbed into the car.
"That's not true. I ride a motorcycle which is in the garage at home. My father-in-law borrows it from time to time." I nodded as she started the car. "So does Scott Summers which is fine. Jason has a car that I use if I need to." She smiled faintly as we pulled out of the garage. "Put I did promise all those years ago when I got the bike that I wouldn't bring anyone under the age of eighteen on it." I looked over at her. "I kinda went back on that promise when I moved out." I raised an eyebrow.
"How so?" She looked at me for a second before looking back at the street in front of us.
"I let someone on it that was way under the age of eighteen but all we did was go around the block." She shrugged. "It doesn't matter now. I'm thirty four, I can make my own decisions." I laughed. She glared at me. "I can!" She defended. I smirked.
"Oh I know." I agreed. "You just seem like the type of girl that would constantly look for mommy's stamp of approval. Or daddy's." Her grip on the steering wheel tightened.
"You know, when we slip into these silences I start thinking that maybe we can be friends." She started. "That maybe I can smooth out your edges." I frowned. "But then you go and open your mouth and it's some sarcastic bullshit." I looked to my lap as we turned.
"Have you ever thought that I do that to cover my ass?" I muttered. She glanced to me. "I was raised by HYDRA, well, maybe raised isn't the best word. More like HYDRA provided me shelter, food, clothes and in return they experimented on me." I balled my fist before flattening it again. "Turned me into even more of a freak than I already am." Stark's expression softened. "Can I ask you a question?"
"You just did." She stated. I rolled my eyes. "Of course you can."
"Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked. "Like you just said, all I say is sarcastic bullshit." She smiled softly. "Hell, I tried to kill you people earlier."
"We've faced worse." She joked. I frowned. "Hey, don't worry about it. We understand if you're not completely open to the idea of a family yet." I closed my eyes. "We'll wait until you're ready." I smiled faintly. Stark smirked. "But we're here so get out of my car." I laughed as I stepped outside.

Stark led me to a small room close to the front of the mansion. Stark and I leaned against the doorway. Inside the room was a man with blonde hair and blue eyes just like Rogers but looked more animalistic; tougher than Captain America. Sitting around him, was a group of children about my age and a small boy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes by his feet. The little boy was the first to notice we were there
"Mommy!" He cheered and ran over to Stark. Stark giggled as she reached down and picked up the little boy who looked to be about five. I raised an eyebrow as the little boy wrapped his arms around Stark.
"You- What?" I mumbled. Stark laughed.
"Mor-" I cut her off with a look. She smiled. "Elizabeth, this is my son Logan Anthony. Logan, this is my cousin Elizabeth Banner." The boy smiled at me and waved. I waved back. The other guy in the room dismissed the group of kids and walked over to us. Stark walked into the room, I stayed by the door. The guy brought her in for a kiss, holding her elbow lightly.
"Is this a new student?" He asked, pulling away and looking to me. Stark laughed.
"Jason, this is my cousin Elizabeth." She introduced. Jason's eyes widened slightly. "Elizabeth, this is my husband Jason." I blinked. He held out his hand. I looked down to it before looking back up into his eyes. He put his hand down.
"It's fine, you don't have to." He assured. I blinked a few times before looking to Stark.
"Son." I stated. "You have a son." She nodded. "You got offended by Barton and Maximoff but you. . . You have a son of your own." Jason looked to Stark.
"They have a son?" He asked. Stark nodded. "Really?" She nodded again.
"Eleven year old, his name's Erik." Jason nodded slightly. "He's a cute kid. He's got Clint's dirty blonde hair." Jason smiled. I wrapped my arms around myself. Jason turned back to me.
"Well, it's nice to finally meet you." I nodded and bit the inside of my lip.
"Yeah, um, you too."
