I woke up in an unfamiliar bed, in an unfamiliar room. I sat up and looked around. I was in a simple room with beige walls and very little furniture.

There were two wardrobes and a small bedside table in between the two beds. Wait...what?? I turned around and there was another bed next to mine. Corey was sleeping. He was snoring very softly and muttering things in his sleep.

I got up and walked around. There were two doors. The first one led to the longest hallway I had ever seen. The second one led to a fancy bathroom with a giant bathtub.

I went to the wardrobes next. One was filled with my clothes and so I guessed the other was Corey's.

"Good morning" I heard a deep voice behind me. I whirled around and Corey was sitting up in his bed. The sheets had slipped and I could see his very muscled chest. I blushed tomato red. He grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. I almost melted on the spot. Thankfully, I composed myself and managed a squeaky "good morning." He laughed softly as I ran out of the room.

I passed down the hallway quietly, not wanting to wake anyone up. I walked into what looked like a kitchen and saw that almost everybody was up and preparing breakfast. Saph walked up to me

"Morning! Did you sleep well?"

"Why the f*ck did you put me in the same room as Corey??!" I screamed.

"I was going to share my room but he volunteered."

"What??!! Why would he do that??"

"He obviously likes you. He just doesn't want to admit it."

She walked off to help with the cooking, leaving me to stare after her, mouth wide open. I was so I shocked I didn't notice Corey until he came over and closed my open mouth with his finger.

"Careful, you might catch flies" his tone was playful and I blushed madly. He then went to help with breakfast.

"We're gonna do a training session later this afternoon, wanna join?" Saph's bright voice greeted me as I entered the room.

"Ummmm sure, I've never fought before, but okay" I replied.

"YAY!" Corey yelled from beside me, mouth filled with pancakes.

I sat down at the large dining table between Saph and Enol. Everyone was sitting at the table except Ms. Calison. I wonder where she is.

Our peaceful breakfast was interrupted by a loud crash, then a boom as the building shook. Enol quickly rushed into the next room as Ms. Calison came out. Coughing madly, she waved at the air around her face and slumped down onto the couch. Her hair was covered in ash and sticking up all over the place. Enol then came out f the same room, coughing his lungs out.

"You really need to stop trying to kill us," Enol joked.

Everyone laughed at this and soon enough the smoke cleared from the room. We all finished our breakfasts and cleared the table.
