RECAP OF SITH BOOK 1 OF 'A SITH'S TRIANGLE:

'Everyday, she waits.

Everyday, she sees her son.

Everyday, she mourns for him.

Everyday, she sees his light glimmer...

His power and hope for the Light side is dwindling...

He will become a Sith soon.

A monster.

And she will truly die.

"That was...unexpected," Kanan said, his hands groping slightly. Hera took them and he calmed. Hera nodded.

"Yes," she said. Then paused. "I'm worried about him," another pause. "Kanan, he's becoming more and more like those Siths that you describe," Hera looked at Kanan. "What do we do?" Kanan sat still.

"Nothing," he whispered quetily. "He's already gone."

"What do you want now?" Ezra drawled, walking to the side of his bunk. He opened the compartment and hid his tools. The triangle made a disgusted sniffing sound.

"What do I want?" the voice scoffed. Then it turned angry. "We aren't finished! You need to help me, and I'll.." the voice stopped. Ezra had pulled out a carving tool, a half-carved block of wood, and sat down. He snorted.

"What?" he joked. "You'll get me a castle? Freedom? Liberation from the pain?" he snarled. The voice chuckled.

"No," it said. "I'll give you power," Ezra jolted. His eyes widened.

"How?" he rasped. "How?"

They would find out eventually. But they wouldn't suspect him.

He's their friend.

But not for long

"Down there!" Sabine said, swooping low. "The burns...it spells..." Sabine looked at Hera. Hera looked back, face grim.

"'Watch your back,'" Hera recited. "'Your friends won't be friends for long'..."

"I don't know," Kanan rasped. "But watch that-" suddenly the cabin door shot open, red light poured out and a shadow dashed out of the room. Hera and Kanan were thrown to the side. A deep chuckle came from the opening door.

"Good luck with the Empire," a voice sneered. The smoke had started to dissapate and Hera managed to get a look at the attacker.

"No..." she whispered. "Ezra..."

"I just wanted to say that Rex wanted you," she said. "Ezra what's," before she could finish, the bad Ezra welled his lightsaber and activated it, whirling the blade down, a few inches from Sabine's face.

Which would've concluded with her death.

"Stay away," Ezra threatened. Then the good Ezra wrangled to evil voice and deactivated his lightsaber, running away.

"Ezra! Come back!" But Ezra was never coming back.

Never.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Ezra," Hera said, slowly coming forward. Ezra shivered.

"I know," he whispered. He started to slide down, still pressed against the wall. "But he will," For a second, Hera didn't understand. Then Ezra began to scream.

Hera winced and took a step back. It was an awful, shrieking sound, that exploded into her ears. She closed her eyes, plugging her ears.

And then it stopped.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been two months since Hera had come back, empty-handed. After that, millions of attacks sprung and for a while no one knew who. Then, just two weeks ago, when Zeb and Sabine were on guard, they found Ezra blowing up half of the Rebellion's freighters.
"Your Rebellion will never win," he had spat, spitting blood. And with that he disappeared. No more attacks, no news, and no Ezra. Not that Hera would want to see him, especially since he's wanted.
But she did wish she'd get to see him one last time...
Hera shakily got to her feet. She raised Sabine and helped her to the front of the Ghost. As she helped Sabine in, Hera turned slowly and squinted.
In the distance there was a figure. It was the shape of a Togruta. Hera licked her lips and headed into the Ghost. She couldn't help but think,
Who was that?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Uh, excuse me-" Ezra stopped short when the person he was calling shuffled right through him. He gaped, openmouthed at the man. Suddenly, he was pulled to a house that looked oddly familiar.

"Ezra, don't leave us,"

Ezra looked down and saw a man and a woman at the door of the house. He stared at them, eyes wide.

"Mom?" he whispered and the woman smiled.

"Ezra don't take this path," she whispered, her eyes filling with tears. "Please. I'll never see you again..." her voice began to fade and the world began to blacken.

"No! Wait! Mom!" Ezra cried, running forward. He slammed into a wall.

The Torguta had disappeared and now the human was walking towards them, slowly.

On closer inspection, it was a boy. He had armored fingerless gloves, thick black leather armor that was strapped over his chest, legs, and arms. He had a shredded black cape and he had a belt across his waist.

On closer inspection, the boy had fear-filled purple/blue eyes and the same colored hair.

On closer inspection, the boy was no stranger.

On closer inspection, they realized it was Ezra.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Please!" He began to beg. "Please! I'll give you a second chance! You could be powerful!" For a moment, Sabine believed he was talking to Ashoka. Then she realized that he was talking to Ezra. Sabine held her breath as he slowly walked up and stared at the voice.
"I don't power anymore," he whispered. Then he slowly looked over at Sabine, Zeb, Kanan, and Hera. He smiled.
"Besides," he said. "I have my friends," he turned to the voice. "That's the best power, you'll ever get," Sabine grinned and looked over at Hera who was smiling proudly. The voice let out an ear-shattering scream and disappeared.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I-" Ezra stopped as it had suddenly occurred to him. He didn't know what to say. Kanan seemed to sense this and drew Ezra toward him. Ezra didn't know he was crying until wet hot tears dripped off his nose.

"I'm sorry.," he whispered. "I didn't mean to..." his voice trailed off.

As he stood there, envolped in Kanan's arms, Ezra realized something.

Something that wouldn't have happened if he really choose to go with the triangle.

He never would have gotten that Second chance.

A Second Chance at Life.
