After hours of watching the blonde sleep, he finally managed to fall asleep. He woke up around one in the afternoon the next day to find Hermione and Blaise walking in. He smiled slightly towards the two before turning to check on Draco. He was still sleeping, but he looked a lot less pale, much to Harry's relief.
Once he was finished with his inspection of the blonde, he turned to face the pair who had levitated chairs over towards Harry's. They sat directly across from him just as Severus had the day before. They sat in silence for a moment as the other two took in Draco's form, no doubt looking for physical injuries. When they found none, they turned back towards Harry.
"How are you holding up?" Hermione asked gently, leaning over to place her hand on his knee in a show of support.
"I'm good... I just wish he'd wake up." He said honestly. While he was obviously a little worried that he hadn't woken up yet, he also knew that it wasn't expected to happen until that evening.
The three went on talking about trivial things in order to pass the time. Harry was grateful for their company since it meant that the time went a lot faster than if he had of been alone with nothing to do but count the seconds that went by. Before he knew it, dinner was being brought to them by the Hogwarts House Elves.
The three ate in relative silence; Blaise and Hermione leaving soon afterward in case Draco woke up. They knew that Harry would want to have some alone time with the blonde before he had to deal with everyone else.
Just as Harry was about to worry about Draco not having woken up yet, he felt the blonde's hand squeeze his gently. Harry looked away from the clock he had been watching, to find himself looking directly into gray eyes.
He all but lunged at the blonde, hugging him tightly before quickly letting go and muttering an apology as he realized that Draco being awake did not mean that he was fully healed. However, he refused to let go of the blonde's hand as he sat back down in his chair.
"How are you feeling?" Harry asked immediately, looking the other boy over intently.
"I could use some water." Draco said quietly in a scratchy voice.
Harry could have smacked himself for his stupidity; of course Draco would need water, he chastised himself, he's been asleep for a very long time without anything to drink!
Thinking about that, he decided to also get Dray something to eat as well. So he quickly called Dobby to get them some food while he conjured a glass of water and handed it to the blonde lying on the bed. He ended up having to help the other boy by tipping the glass to his lips for him, since Draco was still too sore to move properly. This caused the blonde to blush furiously, but Harry only smiled softly in return.
"That's better, thanks." Draco said after he had finished drinking.
"Anytime." He replied as Dobby appeared before them with some food.
After a few minutes of eating and a few more of awkward silence, Harry finally decided that he needed to end the silence before he'd internally combust.
"I'm glad you're okay Dray... I was terrified when I saw your father's name on the map."
Harry watched as Draco fiddled with a loose string on his hospital gown, looking as though he was trying to decide something. Finally, the blonde looked up and directly into Harry's eyes, "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have left like that, I over-reacted! If I hadn't of left, then none of this would have happened!"
"No Dray, don't be sorry." He said, tenderly pulling the blonde into a hug, not wanting to hurt him, "I was stupid and didn't answer right away and you got upset! That's nothing to be sorry for."
