Chapter 19

Onyx’s POV

I stood face to face with my over the top, completely insane but incredibly sweet mate in a dress shirt and black skinny jeans. His lips pulled up at my shocked expression and he slowly made his way over to me. I looked into his emerald eyes and all I saw was love and devotion in them he wrapped his arms around my waist and I lifted mine to wrap around his neck.

“Surprise.” He whispered in my ear and kissed just below it

I pulled away and looked at him “You’re insane you know that?”

He smirked “Only for you.”

I smile and shake my head wrapping my arms tighter around him and press my lips firmly to his. I feel his hands squeeze my hips as he pulled me closer pressing every inch of his body to mine. I feel his tongue run along my bottom lip and I smirk pulling away and step out of his reach. He groans and looks at me jutting his bottom lip out in an attempt to look like he was pouting

“Don’t pout it only looks cute when I do it.” I smile and he laughs wrapping his arms around my waist and leads me over to the picnic he had set up.

“I hope you like Italian food I’m not a very good cook so it’s kind of bought instead of homemade.” He rubbed the back of his neck looking sheepish.

I looked at the food and it was pasta with vodka sauce it looked and smelled amazing I looked at him “It looks amazing,” I step closer to him “and you look cute when you’re nervous.” I kiss his cheek and he turns his head to quickly kiss my lips.

I kiss back and run my fingers through his hair pulling his face closer to mine feeling his hands go to my hips. My stomach decided to make an appearance then as it mad a very inhuman sound and we both laughed.

“Shall we?” he gestured towards the food and I nodded as we both sat down on the blanket next to the beautiful sparkling lake. The sun was setting so it looked absolutely beautiful I looked towards Xavier as he set a plate in front of me. I picked up the fork and grabbed some of the pasta to try and as soon as I put the fork in my mouth I almost moaned.

“This is amazing.” I said to Xavier after I swallowed all of the food in my mouth and took a sip of water.

He looked relieved and smiled taking a bite of his own food we ate in comfortable silence for a little while until he spoke up. “So are you happy it was me that was your secret admirer?”

I smiled at him from across the table “Yes I was kind of guessing it was you though”

He laughed “Well I’m glad you like it at least I didn’t know if you’d be into this kind of thing.”

“Its amazing and very sweet.” I finished off my food just as he finished his.

“Soooo I was thinking we could go for a swim?” he gave me a cute shy smile.

“Sure.” I was thanking Emily for pulling out my bikini so I slipped off my dress and flats. He looked a little disappointed.

“What did you want to go skinny dipping?” I laughed and he smirked pulling me close to him “Yes yes I did” he pouted
