The New Girl (AU)

Friends again?

        "Can I join you?" He asked.

         "Sure." I said keeping my gaze on the ocean. We sat in silence for a few moments before Percy broke it.

         "I'm sorry for avoiding you Annabeth, I wouldn't let you talk to me and I hid a lot of my past form you when you told me everything about yourself and thats not far. I don't blame you for not trusting me." He said looking down. I was shocked. I expected him to say something  along the lines of "sorry we can't be friends", or "I hate you".  But no, he was apologizing  for something that wasn't his fault.

        "Percy it wasn't your fault. It was so mean of me to yell at you for not telling me. I completely understand why you didn't tell me and I'm so so sorry for being such a horrible friend. I don't blame you if you hate me now." I said.

       "Wise Girl why would I hate you?" He asked. Man how I missed him calling me Wise Girl. "Sure I was mad but I don't think I could ever hate you." So can we be friends again?" He asked.

     "Yes Seaweed Brain. I said tackling him in a hug. "It sucked suffering through Greek alone!" I said laughing. He hugged me back and laughed with me. How I missed his laugh so much.

      "You don't know how terrible lunch was without you guy's! I had to sit by Drew and listen to her talk about her hair." He said pretending to throw up. I laughed.

   We just stayed there on the beach talking till it was late. Percy looked at his watch and sighed. "I better get my cousin's home, after all I am the designated driver." he said rolling his eyes. "Want me to drive you home?"

      "Sure." I said as he stood up and offered me his hand. I took it and stood up but Percy didn't let go. I didn't object though. As we walked into the house we were surrounded  by drunk teenagers.

     "Looks like the Stoll's spiked the punch again." Percy said sighing. We spotted Thalia and Nico first. They were making out on the couch. Percy took out his I phone 7 and snapped a picture. I glared at him.

     "What? It's great blackmail material." He said. I just rolled my eyes. Just then we saw Piper and Jason walk out of a closet. Jason had a few hickeys on him and Piper's hair was all messed up. Percy face palmed. "I hope he didn't lose his virginity." Percy groaned. That made me laugh even more.

     Percy and I had to carry Thalia up stairs and help Jason get out of the car. When that was all done we drove Piper and Nico home. "So do you do this often?" I asked Percy once we were on our way to my house.

     "You have no idea how many times Wise Girl!" He said laughing. Once we got to my house Percy walked me up to my door. "Thank you for helping me Wise Girl! It's way more easy and enjoyable with someone to help you." He said.

    "Glad I could help Seaweed brain. Thanks for the ride home!" I said.

    "Anytime Wise Girl. See you latter!" he said before hugging me and turning to his car and driving away. I had to hold on to the wall for a second because he made my legs turn into jello with that one hug.

    As I fell asleep that night, all I could think about was a certain owner of a pair of sea green eyes.

Monday morning

        As I walked into school I saw a large group of people crowded around a poster. I walked up to Thalia to ask what it was all about. "The school just announced when prom is." She said rolling her eyes. I looked up at the date and noticed that it was in 3 months.
