The New Girl (AU)

(1 week later)

        It's been 1 week since the state champions in swimming. All my friends are going prom dress shopping this week on Sunday. Thalia and Piper convinced me to come with them even though I didn't have a date. They said that you didn't need a date to go to Prom. Anyway I was on my way to meet Percy in the pool area after school. He said something about needing to talk to his coach after practice. We were planning on going to a movie after school with all our friends because it was a perfect rainy day to. On my way to the pool I spotted a lot of people watching me and whispering. I shrugged it off and opened the doors to the pool. My heart stopped. There was a sign that was hanging over the pool. It read prom Wise Girl with a question mark. Under the sign was Percy holding my favorite kind of flowers. "Yes Seaweed Brain!" I said running into his arms. He spun me around then set me down. Everyone started cheering and that's when I noticed half the Senior class was watching.

       "Our friends are waiting outside Wise Girl." Percy said grabbing my hand and dragging me to his car. Our friends were all there smiling at us.

       "It's about time Perce!" Grover yelled. Everyone nodded in agreement. Percy just rolled his eyes and got in his car with Grover, Nico, Frank, Jason and Leo while I got in Thalia's car with Thalia, Piper and Hazel and Juniper, Grover's girlfriend. When I sat down they all looked at me with excited expressions.

      "Ok tell us how he did it!" Piper squealed. I told them the whole story as we drove to the movie theater. "You guy's are so so cute together!" Piper said screaming like a little girl.

      As we climbed out of the car we saw that we were the first ones there. We walked in and got our tickets and popcorn. As we sat down in the movie theater we noticed that we were the only ones in there. The boy's came in arguing about something. "Seriously Nico you really made use stop at McDonalds!" Jason said rolling his eyes.

"Dude your going to get fat." Leo added causing them all to laugh. Percy sat by me still laughing at Nico who was carrying a happy meal.

"Hey Wise Girl! We had to stop of at McDonalds because Nico was hungry."Percy said rolling his eyes. As the movie started.

After the movie all the boy's said bye and headed to Percy's house while us girls went home.

I couldn't stop smiling during dinner. "Honey why are you smiling so much?" My dad asked.

"Oh Percy asked me to Prom!" I said.

"Congratulations Annabeth! He's such a nice young man. And cute." Helen said winking at me. I blushed even more. Bobby and Mathew started running around the house yelling 'Annabeth and Percy singing in a tree! K- -I- S- S- I- N- G. First time comes love, then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in the baby carriage!'

"When are you going dress shopping?" Helen asked biting into her broccoli.

"This Sunday!" I said getting up and putting my dish in the dishwasher. I then went up to my room to do my homework.

I got a text from Percy when I was hopping into bed.

Percy: Night Wise Girl! Can't wait to take you to Prom! See you latter.

I smiled at the text. Even if Percy was just texting me I still got butterflies in my stomach.

Annabeth: Good night Seaweed Brain! I can't wait either.

I texted back before going to bed.
