A heartbeat.
You groaned in pain as a second set of teeth descended over your own teeth, breaking through your gums against your permission. Your eyes screwed tight as your nails dug into the door, your breaths sharp and uneven.
"(Y/n)," He says softly, and you can feel the heat coming off him as if he was pressed up against you. A shudder ran through your body and mewled in pain as the teeth pulled back, your jaws widening painfully as if trying to separate itself from your body. Your arms trembled as you pulled your nails out of the door, your breath erratic as you slowly turned to face Gadreel. Your back was pressed firmly against the door and it didn't take long for Gadreel to connect the dots.
You noticed the way he tensed, and a pang shot through your heart at the action. The poor man was now screwed over because of your stupidity. You closed your eyes tightly and slid down the door, your shirt dragging up in the back and revealing your hips, your unmarred hips. You tried to hold your breath, but that ended badly. You gritted your teeth, jaw clenching tightly as you kept your eyes shut tightly.
"I'm-" You choked out. "I'm sorry." You growled out, breathing heavily as you held back. As you stopped yourself from lunging at him and draining him dry. The thought of his neck between your teeth- the hot liquid gushing into your mouth. You let out a pained moan, a hand coming up and covering your mouth as you slid to your left side, left forearm resting on the ground, holding you up. There was a slight ache in your jaw as your grip tightened, and just when you thought you were about to shatter your jaw he spoke.
"You're hurting yourself." He said softly, and your hand slipped off your face- smearing some of the blood from the woman from earlier across your chin. You opened your eyes and slowly looked over at him, finding it hard to concentrate on his face.
"I'd rather that-" Your body tensed as another wave of hungry washed over you. "Than the alternative." You whispered, crawling out of the doorway and resting beside it instead, your forearm slipping out from underneath you. You relished the sharp pain in your head from the fall, but it disappeared quickly enough. You stared at Gadreel's feet, zoning out as your hand curled into a fist. He smelled so good- so bloody fantastic.
You swallowed thickly, your right hand moving to your left forearm and grabbing it tightly, nails digging into the soft skin of the underside of your arm. A short sigh left your body- and you couldn't tell if it was out of pain or relief. Your nails dug in a little more, breaking skin. Blood welled up between your fingers and you faintly heard Gadreel jerking at his restraints.
You whimpered as you dragged your nails down, creating bloody gouges in your arm as you pulled your nails away. The marks stayed and you relished the stinging and throbbing pain from them with each of your heartbeats, your body slowly rolling onto its back.
"I-I don't know why I came here." You whispered, your right hand digging into your stomach as you bit down on your bottom lip. God you should just crawl out of the room now, die somewhere in the hallways.
"Dean! Sam!" He called out, and you flinched at how loud his voice was- your eyes screwing shut as your left hand came towards your head, covering your ear closest to him. "Don't worry, they'll be able to fix it." He said, his voice soft and warm. You relaxed slightly, lips parting just barely in relief at the calmness his voice had sent through you.
"I have nightmares about this." You whispered, almost unwillingly. "About if this happened to my mom." You said, tears forming in your eyes as you clenched your jaw. "If she felt any pain when her head was removed." You were suddenly on your hands and knees, bile coating your throat at the sudden movement, and the memories. "I can still see her." You whimpered, the bile threatening to rise. "Ripping into my father." Blood leaked down your arm and onto the floor, and a hand came up to cover your mouth. Your eyes traveled to his wings, and you freely stared at them.
"His tortured screams." You whispered with a wavering voice, Gadreel's eyes burning holes into you. For a moment you wondered if his feathers were as soft and fluffy as they looked. "Oh god- I think I'm gonna vomit." You whispered, eyes falling away from his wings as a hand moved to your stomach, eyes screwing shut in pain as you tried to fight off the nausea. The door flew open and you scrambled away suddenly, whimpering as pain flashed up your arm and from your jaw.
Sam and Dean stood in the doorway, watching you carefully. You noticed the glass in Dean's hand, and the relief threatened to drown you. Your lips parted in a silent plea and Dean entered, ignoring Gadreel as he crouched on your right, holding the back of your head as he brought the glass to your lips. Gadreel's warmth on your left side made you realize how close you had moved to him, less than a foot of space was between you two.
The mix slipped down your throat and you gagged, trying not to throw it back up. When Dean pulled away you gritted your teeth, your fangs sliding out as you gasped in pain. Dean reared back and then you were bent over yourself, strangled screams never truly leaving your throat. Your thoughts were in shambles, and for a moment you felt like you were beyond fixable.
For a moment you wished you were dead.
