Everyday as Ivory grew, and everyday her mother would tell her of Aslan and his daughter who wanted to take the throne from them, to claim themselves the rightful rulers of Narnia. Along with Aslan and his daughter, her mother warned Ivory of four children who would one day come to Narnia to help Aslan and his daughter take their throne and their magic.
To ensure the protection of not only their magic but the throne that the ruler of Narnia sat upon Jadis kept her daughter in training everyday. Jadis had fashioned her daughter, who was one day just a butterfly and snowflake, to be a beautiful, charismatic, fighting machine. She had the poise of a princess, but when it came to fighting she was a soldier that nobody could touch.
Her beauty lured people into believing her, to wanting to meet her and be with her. She was kind, always standing up for what she believed in, but at the same time she was ruthless scaring people when every she wanted to. The dwarfs and wolves knew not to cross her, and they never tried. She had the same fire her mother had but at the same time she was kinder.
Jadis believed she knew everything about her daughter, but, of course, she was wrong. There was one thing Jadis did not know about her daughter and that was the fact that Ivory did not like the way her mother ruled. Ivory always took pity on the people of Narnia her mother turned to stone but of course Ivory never said anything in fear of what her mother would do to her.
Currently, Ivory was in the throne room with her mother overlooking the statues of every citizen her mother had decided to punish. Ivory new that most of these people before her had betrayed them as rulers for they were in favor of Alsan, his daughter, and the four children who would one day come for her and her mother.
Yes, that still didn't stop her from feeling bad for them whenever she looked at their terrified faces as they realized what was about to happen to them. "You see darling," Jadis told her daughter as she looked around the throne room her collection of stone bringing a smile to her face. "should anyone defy you, should anyone try to take your throne is meant to be punished."
Ivory looked down at the mouse that was standing before the throne with a pleading look his hands out asking for mercy of the queen before he had been turned to stone. Jadis knocked the statue over with her wand causing it to shatter as it fell off the step and Jadis turned to look at Ivory who tried to keep a blank face. If Jadis saw any form of pity for these people on her daughters face she would consider it a weakness and Ivory knew her mother hated her being weak.
Of course there was only one reason why Jadis had made her, but Ivory didn't know that reason.
"Is that what I'm doing today?" Ivory asked looking up at her mother with a smile. Jadis nodd her head looking back to the statues of people before her. A moment later Maugrim a wolf came in to the throne room baring his teeth at a frightened prisoner who's hands were being held by chains while two dwarfs with spears kept them pointed at him every once in a while pushing the prisoner forward with their spears causing the prisoner to cry out in pain.
"Get your wand darling, your going to punish your first traitor today." Ivory nodded her head watching as her mother stood up to look at the prisoner while Ivory worked on unwrapping her wand from around her neck. She then grabbed a blue gemstone and placed it on the end of her wand causing it to grow so that it was at least three inches smaller than her mothers.
"Leave us." Jadis said to Maugrim and the dwarfs, they bowed at their Queen and then to their princess who both now stood side by side and expressionless face as they looked out at the prisoner before them. Once the dwarfs and Maugrim were gone Jadis tapped her wand on the ground before walking over to the prisoner who was shaking timidly on his spot.
Jadis tutted look at the prisoner in disgust as she circled around him. "Do you know why you are here?" Jadis questioned turning to look at her daughter to make sure she was paying attention before turning back to the prisoner who looked like he was about ready to faint as his fury little legs shook. "You are here because you were caught speaking of Aslan and his daughter and their threat to take my throne, my daughters throne."
The badger shook his head nervously looking between Jadis and Ivory. "Is there anything you'd like to say?" Jadis asked but the badger continued to tremble in place shaking it's head as if it wanted to speak but couldn't. "Darling, come here."
Ivory walked over to her mother and the prisoner nervously but careful not to show it. "Show this badger what happens to those who betray the rightful rulers of Narnia." Jadis said and with one soft tap Ivory placed her wand on the badgers head and he slowly began to turn to stone just as he managed to finally speak his final words.
"No, no, no, please!" and the badger was stone right before Ivory's eyes a sense of guilt washing over her that she had to be careful to hide from her mother.
