Alex had processed what Cassandra had told him that he had a child. He wanted to find this child. He decided to check out the orphanage that she said her and her parents had taking the baby to. He drove to the other town over and found the orphanage. It was a big building. It looked exactly like a hospital. He parked his car, and went inside. He walked through the halls to where the signs pointed to the office. He was so nervous, but he knew that he wanted to find his son. After all, he had never had a father and he didn't want that to happen to his son. He wanted to find him. He wanted to make sure that he was happy, had a happy home, or if he wanted to come home with him. When he walked through the door there was a woman sitting in the front with a long black robe on. "Can I help you sir? Yes, I would like information on a baby that was dropped of here about five years ago, he was a new born, that was dropped off by a young child and her parents. Can you wait in the hall, and I will check for you? Who are you by the way? I am that child's father and I recently just found out about him. Okay have a seat outside the door, and I will check for you." Alex was so anxious he began to pray that she would be able to find something out for him. It felt like he was in that waiting room for ages, but half-hour later the woman came out and told him to come back in. She had found something out about the child that he had described. "Okay sir, I have found the child in question. He was dropped off by his mother Cassandra Gusman, and her parents, Sandra and Michael Gusman." Alex was so excited because he knew that she had found the right child. "Where is he? Where is my son? Sir, he is still here in the orphanage. What do you mean he is still here? Why hasn't he been adopted yet?" Alex was so excited to have found him, but then his mind began to race. Why was he still here? Why hadn't he been adopted yet? He is five years old poor kid he been here all this time. Then he heard the woman's voice calling to him. "Sir, are you okay?" He nodded, he just couldn't believe that he was still here after all this time. "Can I see him? Yes, you may see him. If you just follow me I will take you to his room." While they were walking to his room he and the woman were talking about why Alexander was still there. She told him that he is a little bit of a trouble maker, and that children like that do not get adopted right away or at all. They walked to where the children's rooms were and stopped at the door. "Are you ready to see your son?" Alex was so excited, and so anxious to see what his son looked like, how he was, and to get to know him. "Yes, I am ready." The woman opened the door and immediately he noticed that the child looked like him. He had the same features as him. His hair was the same color as his, eyes were the same shape and color, nose was the same shape. He knew that this little boy was his son. "Hello young man. How are you?" The woman began to tell Alexander who this man was. He got upset and ran to his bed and laid down. All Alex could think was that he wanted to take his son home. He wanted to care for him. He wanted to be a family with his son. "Can I take him home with me?" The woman looked shocked, but she nodded. "I would have to look over the paper work that the mother and her parents signed when she dropped off the child. You can take him to the park outside on the grounds, and I will go to the office and look over the paper for you. Thank you so much." Alex was so grateful. He knew that it was a long shot because the papers that Cassandra signed meant that she was giving him up, but as he played with Alexander at the park he prayed that he would be able to take him home. He played for about two hours with Alexander at the park when the woman came out to talk to him. Alexander was on the swing and Alex had walked over to the woman to talk to her. "This is what I found out, because you did not sign the papers when she brought him in; you were not able to sign over your rights to child, therefore, you still have parental rights to the child." Alex started jumping and cheering for joy. He was so excited that he would be able to take his son home. Alexander was excited as well he wasn't supposed to be listening but he was ease dropping. He ran over to Alex and jumped on him, and gave him a great big hug. Alexander had been in so much pain. He thought that he was all alone, and now he had a dad. Now he had a home. Alex and Alexander went to his room, and gathered his belongs so that they could go home. Before they left the woman had told Alex to stop by the office, that he had some papers to sign and he would be able to take him home. Alex and Alexander put his things in the car, and went back in to sign the papers in the office. After that Alex took his son to get something to eat at McDonalds. This McDonalds had a playground so they ate out there, and afterwards Alexander played on the playground while Alex called Cassandra. "Cassandra I have some exciting news for you. Alex why are you calling me? I found our son. You found our son? Yes Cassandra, that is what I just said. O my gush, where is he? Is he with a nice family? No, I found him still at the orphanage, and I was able to take him home with me." Cassandra was shocked and sad. Why was her son still there? Why didn't someone adopt him yet? "Cassandra, are you still there? Yes, I am still here. He is with me right now. I just brought him to McDonalds to get something to eat, and to play on the playground. O my gosh, I must see him. O now you want to see him after you gave him up. Alex come on that is not fair. I was thirteen years old. I was a child myself. Alright I will come by your place later. Okay I will be home then. Alright see you later." Cassandra put down the phone after talking to Alex and went to feed Christopher. She started to tell Christopher how he had an older brother, and he would get to meet him soon. She was so excited to see her son, but she was also nervous and scared as to how he would react to meeting her. She was sad and nervous to meet him.
