We Meet Again

After Ricardo ate breakfast with Cassandra he took a shower and headed to work. He was still thinking about the terrible mistake that he had made the night before. He had wanted to sleep with that woman, but he felt so guilty about it. He didn't want to tell Cassandra about it, because he knew that she would be hurt. However, he didn't want to keep any secrets from her either. When he got to work, there was so much to do, and so many patients to see. When he got to his office he put his white doctor blazer on and went to work. He had decided to bury his mind in his work, so that he wouldn't think of the night before. However, that was short lived as the new nurse that his boss had hired was the woman that he was kissing the night before. When he saw, her he froze in his tracks? He didn't know what to say or what to do. He couldn't work with her after what had happened. He almost slept with her. He knew that he had to avoid her at all costs. So, he went about seeing his patients, and decided to ask the other nurses to help him with the patients. He managed to avoid her with her seeing him for the entire day. Then at the end of the day she had come into his office. "Doctor, there is one last patient you must see before you leave today." The nurse was looking down at her board so she did not see his face. Then suddenly, their eyes met. Last night she had enjoyed the man she met at the bar, and she liked him, but he had left without saying goodbye. Now, here he was standing right in front of her. "Hey, you were at the bar yesterday." He didn't want to answer her, but he knew that she remembered him, because he in fact had remembered her as well. "Yes, I was at the bar yesterday. You left without saying goodbye. I know and I apologize for that, but what happened yesterday was a mistake, and cannot happen again." She felt crushed, after all, she really liked him. "Alright doctor there is a baby that just came in with a fever. It is a last-minute appointment. Alright, give me five minutes." After she left his office she went to the restroom and cried. She really liked this man, and now here he was and he wanted nothing to do with her. She gathered herself together and went to the room that the mother and baby were in. Took all his vitals and told them that the doctor would be right in.

Cassandra had decided to surprise Ricardo at work, so when she got there she told the nurse at the front desk who she was, and the nurse took her and Christopher to Ricardo's office. She sat down at his desk and began to feed Christopher. After Ricardo was done with the patient he went back to his office, and was surprised to see Cassandra waiting for him. "Hey honey, what are you doing here? I decided to surprise you. Do you not want me to be here? No, you are fine. Let me gather my things and then we can head home. Alright, I am almost done feeding Christopher, so we can leave soon. As Ricardo gathered his things he couldn't help but think that he had to tell her now. After all he was going to work with this woman, but knowing that he knew that Cassandra would be upset every day from now on. "Doctor, did you write the prescription for the baby yet? The nurse that he was kissing last night at the bar had come back into his office. He had forgot to write the prescription for the medication for the baby. "No, let me write it right now." When she entered, she saw a woman, the woman was sitting at his chair feeding a baby. When she walked out of the room she knew now why he had said that that what happened can never happen again. He had a family, but then what was he doing at the bar? She knew that she had to talk to him again, but now was not the time. She got the prescription and headed to the room with the infant and his mother. After that she gathered her things and left for the day. She knew that she had a lot to think about. After all this man was so nice to her last night, and she started to like him, but now to find out that he had a finally, she was devastated.
