It was about 5:00 p.m. and Alex still has not brought Alexander by to see Cassandra. She was hoping that he would come earlier, because it was almost time for Ricardo to be home from work. Still she knew that it didn't matter she wanted to see her son. Cassandra had just finished putting Christopher in his bed when the doorbell rang. She went to the door, opened it, and to her surprise there stood her son. She knew it was him, because he looked just like Alex. He had all the same features that Alex had. "Come in, come in." They both came in and Cassandra shut the door behind her. She was so excited to meet her son, but she didn't want to scare him. They all sat down on the couch. Alex introduced Alexander to her, and he began to cry. "Are you my mommy. Yes sweetie, I am your mommy." Tears began to roll down his face, and she went sat next to him and dried his tears with her shirt. She picked him up so that he was sitting on her lap. "I am so sorry to have caused you so much pain, but I was only thirteen years old when I got pregnant with you, and I was still a child myself. Please forgive me. I will never let you go now." As she spoke to Alexander her voice started to crack and tears started to form. Then she could feel Alexanders hands touch her face. "I always wanted a mother, and I will never let you go either." Cassandra's heart felt so warmed as he touched her face and comforted her. She never wanted to let him go. "Alexander I have another son now. His name is Christopher. He is a baby would you like to go and see him. Yes, mommy." Cassandra felt her heart start to pound as he called her mommy. She was his mother after all. She took him into Christopher's room to see him. She told him to stay in here and play with some of the toys that Ricardo's mother had bought for Christopher to play with. She then went back out to the living room. She wanted to talk to Alex about Alexander living with her. She knew that he would probably be upset again, but she wanted her baby to live with her. After all, Alex could see him whenever he wanted to, and he could call whenever he wanted to as well. "Alex, I would like to talk to you about Alexander living with me. What do you mean you want him to live with you? You didn't want him before now you do? Please just listen for a second." Cassandra took a breath. She knows that she really had to convince him to do this. "Listen, children need to be with their mothers. You work and you are in school. You will need to pay for babysitter. Please I do not work, and I would really love to be with him. You can come and see him whenever you want to. You can call him whenever you like. Please I need to be with him." Cassandra was begging him, and she hoped that she had convinced him. "Please Alex, I will never take him away from you." Alex, was thinking about what Cassandra had told him. He did have to go to school, and he had to work. He didn't have any money for a babysitter and he only had a one bedroom. He knew that what she was saying was correct, but he didn't want to be without his son. "Fine I will let him live with you, but you have to promise me that you will never take him away from me. Alex, I wouldn't dream of taking him away from you when we finally have him." Alex put a smile on his face and he gave Cassandra a hug. "Okay, I have to get to work. I will come by tomorrow morning before I had to class. I will also go down to the car now and get his things for you. Thank you, Alex I greatly appreciate this." Alex went down to his car, and brought Alexander's things up to the apartment, and then he left to go to work. Now Cassandra had to explain to Ricardo what was going on, and she hoped that he would be okay with it. Cassandra went and made dinner as Ricardo would be home shortly. Alexander wanted to help her make dinner, so she took this time to get to know him better. They talked and laughed, and then Cassandra could hear the door open. Ricardo was home, and she had to tell him about Alexander and the fact that he would now be living with them. She knew that this was not going to be easy, especially the fact that Ricardo did not like Alex. He had to deal with it though. After all, I had a child with both, him and Alex. Ricardo sat down to the table, and he noticed a small child on the other side, and he noticed that he looked like Cassandra. "Cassandra who is this child? This is my son Ricardo. His name is Alexander." I could see the look on Ricardo's face. He was shocked. "This is your son, but how did you find him? I didn't find him Alex did. He went to the orphanage to find him and they told him that he was still there, and hadn't been adopted yet. They told him that he would be able to take him because he had not given up his parental rights." I could see the look on Ricardo's face. It was the look of utter confusing. "What is he doing here? Ricardo, I am his mother and Alex and I decided that it is best if he was to live with me. Wait! You did this without asking me?" I didn't know what to say. I was hoping that Ricardo would be happier about this, but I guess he wasn't. "Look let's have dinner, and then we will discuss this tonight." All I could think about was that I forgot that I just said Alex and I decided. That meant that Alex was here in Ricardo's home. This conversation later was not going to go well. They finished eating dinner, and Cassandra and Alexander went to feed Christopher. While they were feeding Christopher, Ricardo decided to take this time to think about the situation at hand. He loved Cassandra and he wanted to be with her, but can he really raise a child that was not his. He needed to think, so he called his mother. After a long conversation with his mother Ricardo knew what had to be done. He loved Cassandra and Christopher, and if this is what Cassandra wanted to do then he was on aboard with it all the way. He didn't want to lose her or his baby. He decided that it was time for them to buy a house to accommodate this growing family that they had now. That is what he did. The next day he went to look for a house for his family.
