He tilts my forehead up to face him and gives me a soft kiss. " Anway," he whispers against my lips, " it'll all be revealed soon."

Chapter Three

Kissing my cheek, Josh says, " I gotta go out okay?".

I smirk. " You're mysterious," I say.

He walks over and slips a note in my back pocket. " Extremely," he smiles mischievously.

I laugh and kiss him hard. We rest our foreheads together before he pulls away, opening the door. I pout. " Do you half to go?" I ask.

Before leaving, he says, " it'll be worth it tonight." Then the door closes and I'm left smiling to myself. I pull the note out my back pocket, and unfold it.

Jen,

Meet me at Lestade's tonight for dinner. I have a surprise for you there <3

I smile inwardly, popping it back in my pocket and walking off.

For the rest of the day, I try to busy myself with everything possible. When 4:30 comes, it feels as if I've been working away for days. I climb in my car and start it up, driving towards Lestrade's.

When I reach it, I check my hair and makeup in the mirror. My makeup is natural, and my hair is curled and thrown up on the top of my head. I yank down the bottom of my short, cream dress and clip clop towards the restaurant in my high heels.

I walk inside and spot Josh waiting in the corner at a small, round table. The table has a white sheet on it, with rose petals scattered on and a bottom on champaign in the centre.

I hurry over and kiss Josh quickly, throwing my arms around his neck. " This is what you've been working on?" I ask

" Not quite," he grins, as we talk our seat. " But you'll see that later.

A few hours later and we've finished our meal. We climb into Josh's car, and he starts to drive away. Suddenly, I feel us driving upwards. We're going up at hill.

We head out the car and sit on the plaid blanket that's been laid out. We can see the stars. We both lay back for a few hours, just holding hands and admiring the sky. But then Josh sits up, pulling my up with him.

" I have to ask you something," he says, " can you stand up?"

I nod and stand up, feeling confused. Suddenly, he drops the one knee.

" Jennifer. My beautiful Jennifer, I love you more than life it's self, and I always will. I'd do anything for you, take a bullet. Anything." He says, pulling out a box and snapping it open, to reveal a shining silver ring. Tears pour out my eyes vigorously. " Jen, would you do the extraordinary deed of becoming my wife?"

I nod, gasping for breath through my tears. He smiles widely and takes my hand, slipping the ring on. I jump into his arms and kiss him gently.

I hold my ring up to the light and look at it. It's an infinity symbol, and one, meaningful word is carved into the side in tiny, swirled writing.
