Chapter Ten

We come walking in at eight at night, after deciding to go to the gig downstairs. We both know what's coming and we're each excited. We tumble onto the bed together, and the night becomes a blur

Chapter Ten

We double check the room, making sure that we're one hundred percent that we have all of our belongings.

Josh heads into the bathroom to check in there and I perch on the side of the large bed. I'll miss this place. Sure there was the horrible business with Josh dying and all, but. . .

Josh comes out of the bathroom and throws some stuff in the suitcase. We get our stuff ready and I peck his cheek.

We drive straight from the airport to my home, where both our families are meeting. We park the car and Josh leans across and kisses me.

" I love you," I whisper.

" I love you too."

We get up and head into my parents house. Josh's Mum, Harriet, is straight over at Josh, pulling him into a hug.

" I was so worried," she says.

" I know," he pats her back.

We each get a hug from everyone and then decide to head home. We drive home and into the house, then get straight into bed and fall asleep without saying a word.

The next morning, I wake up with an aching stomach and run into the bathroom. I'm not sick, but something catches my eye. I walk over and pick up the unopened box of tampons.

I'm late.

I smack my hand over my mouth and start sobbing loudly. I sink to the floor and put my head in my hands.

Throwing on a jumper, I run out the door and into the cold air. I reach the drugstore and walk in. I buy some pregnancy tests and run back home.

I lock the bathroom door. Can't have Josh walking in on me.

I use the test and shove it in my pocket. I head back through where Josh is sat on the bed.

What if I'm pregnant?

Only time will tell.
