"Lucy, can you come here for a second? Mummy and Daddy want to tell you something." I asked as Lucy finished her peanut butter and Jelly sandwich. She nodded as her ginger hair bounced within her pigtails. She looked like the spitting image of Randy's mother. That could have something to do with their close bond. She skipped over to the living room and plopped herself down on the sofa. The soft cushions of the sofa almost swallowed the girls small frame.
"Well, mummy and daddy have something really important to tell you but sadly it involves us moving to a bigger house."
She had a glum face for a moment. Until, she realised what was going on. "Am I going to have a baby brother or sister?!" She squeaked. We both nodded in sync. Lucy jumped off the sofa and wrapped her arms around us.
"I love you Mommy! I love you Daddy!" We both chuckled "We love you too, Princess." Then, once all the excitement of that was over, she had a look of realisation on her face. She slumped back down and said "Does that mean Mommy and Daddy won't love me anymore?" We shook our heads.
"C'mere, little one." Randy invited her to sit on his lap. She sat on his lap and a tear streamed down our face.
"No matter what happens, mommy and daddy will always love you. It's just that we have so much more love to give that we wanted to give another baby that love. We'll never love you any less. You're still our special little girl." Randy kissed her forehead. Then, the only other worry she had escaped her lips. "Are we still allowed to go to Disney world tomorrow?" I chuckled. We planned to go to Disney world next month, she usually confuses things likemonths and days. It's quite cute really.
"Yes, we're still going to Disneyland."'Hey, sweetpea. Are your family still coming over tonight xx -Tami.'
It was something that happened a lot, We would go round Tami's for dinner and we'd talk and the kids would have a play date.
I texted back: 'Definitely, anything you want us to bring? Xx'
Randy worked from home two days a week, his boss grew quite close to our family after learning from the tabloids everything that happened with Steven, so, he gave him time off on Thursdays and Fridays.
'Nope, Just bring yourselves xx -Tami.'"Mommy? Can I wear this tonight?" Lucy asked. She pulled out this beautiful blue dress that matched her eyes perfectly. I nodded. I looked at my bed and realised that the outfit I picked out had a blue dress shirt to go along with it.
"Would you like some help?" I asked. She nodded. I helped her put the dress on that went down to her knees. She decided to pair black T-buckle shoes with it. I have to say, she looked adorable! As we headed to Tami's, I thought about how I told Randy I was pregnant.
"Randy" I asked. "Can you come here for a second, please?" I sat on the bed. I was shaking. He came out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"What's up honey?" He asked. I just burst into tears. "What's wrong?" He wrapped his arms around me. "Im Just so happy." I steadied my breathing. I pulled the pregnancy test out of my pocket and handed it to him. "Does this mean-"
"I'm pregnant.""We're here! We're here!" Lucy shouted. She always loved coming to Tami's. We walked up to the door and Lucy gave it a mighty knock.
"Hello there stranger." Tami wrapped her arms around me and invited us in.
Tami's son, Xavier, came running towards Lucy. Xavier was the spitting image of his father. He had chocolate brown hair and chocolate brown eyes,he was absolutely adorable. He decided to try and match his fathers clothes as much as possible. Her husband, Mike, hugged me for a little too long. Randy let out a cough and he let go.
"So, Whats new in your lives?" Tami asked.
"Well, um. I'm pregnant again-"
"Yeah, but Mommys gonna have a boy this time and he's gonna be called Steven." Lucy giggled. My blood ran cold. How does she know that name?
"What gives you that idea, sweetie?" Mike asked.
"Because I'm named after Daddy's mommy so when the baby's a boy, he's gonna be called Steven." She giggled.
"Okay, honey, can you go play with Xav?"
"Okay mommy.""Does she know her grandfather?" Tami asked.
"I don't believe so, she might've found some of Randys boxes from his childhood."
"Are you ever gonna tell her the story or take her to see him?"
"Maybe one day, when she's old enough."Once we finished eating, Tami went to go show Randy some of Xavs old baby clothes as Mike insisted that I help him clean up.
"So, they're both upstairs, the kids are playing in the living room. Wanna do something naughty?" Mike whispers as he pulls me in close.
"Um, Mike? I'm married." He chuckled.
"I know you are, but something about you makes me want you. I don't know what this whole Steven shit is but I just want to feel your body pressed against mine." He grabbed my ass and kissed me fiercely. Oh god, not this situation again. I was paralysed by fear once more. I tried screaming but he just covered my mouth. I thought to myself, if I let him do this to me, I'll be right back at square one. I bit down harshly on his hand and kicked him hard where it hurts. I ran upstairs and found my friend and my husband looking through baby clothes.
"What's wrong, darling." I walked towards him and wrapped my arms around him.
"What did Mike say?" Tami asked. I think Randy knew. Probably from the way I was acting.
"He's pulled a Steven on her."
"Ruby I'm so sorry."
