jimin seated himself upon the freshly grown vegetation that was somewhat pointy and kept sticking him in the rear from time to time. he looked upon his sun kissed legs that were wearing black shorts that came up to his thighs. of course the sun was blasting its rays among the many people that decided to spend a day outside instead of huddled up in their cubicles called apartments.
jimin had planned to be one of those people but deeply regretted it when a bumble bee started buzzing his way. it's buzzing had been really loud but the tiny boy tried his best to ignore it and stay still. he was deathly afraid and allergic to the insects stings of poison and freaked out upon seeing it in his line of vision. but jimin slowly just moved his body every which way to not be an impediment in the bee's path and surely it whizzed right past his eyes. the young boy huffed a breath of relief and continued to leisurely splay his body onto the green grass.
his slightly fading pink hair, that was now a strawberry blonde, covered his eyes blinding his vision above him which was the scorching sun. he was quite thankful for it, not wanting to go blind just yet. he probably looked crazy laying quietly and alone in the park while people walked past completing their tasks of the day. it was like the others were moving so quickly but the blonde just stayed still like time was frozen.
he thought he looked quite lazy and weird but in reality no one was paying any of their time to his presence like he wasn't even there. that's what always happened. he was there but to others he wasn't. to jimin, it was like this from a young age, he had always been the 'stay away from' type and if it hadn't been from the two friends he made by 'accident' then he would've been a one man show.
the youthful male shut his eyes slowly drifting into a world where sounds only existed and vision was black. he listened closely to the sounds around him; the birds chirping to each other, the trees swaying to the wind's light music, and heavy footsteps that were coming closer to his head.
"um sir, are you okay?" a raspy voice entered jimin's ear like pollen to a flower and his eyes fluttered open to see a young male with raven black hair and small eyes hid behind the shadow of his baseball cap. the unknown boy's skin contrasted highly with jimin's, it being the definition of frost bitten or eternal winter.
jimin nodded to the question he had been asked and looked in confusion as the stranger didn't leave but instead sat next to him with a small stretch of a smile playing on his lips. "it's a nice day to be out here." the stranger spoke again looking up to the sky wistfully as though he was begging the sun to stay out forever.
jimin smiled to not be rude but didn't really know how to form his words correctly. he was very awkward when it came to nice strangers and conversations in general. the young boy frowned at the thought as he played with his fingers keeping the windy silence consistent. if it wasn't for the bustling of life around the two boys then it would have been dead silence, as all the books said silence was killer.
"i seen you freaking over that bee a few minutes ago." the boy with the hair that reminded jimin of the dark night spoke as he giggled lightly.
jimin covered his face completely embarrassed and surprised that someone noticed his being. but he was also happy and let his hands down to show his light sweet blush and his radiating smile. "yeah, i'm allergic to b-bees." the young male's eyes didn't meet the strangers as he wished they would and instead focused on a blooming petunia next to his foot that wore black converses.
"well, we are scared of what we can't see." the unknown boy said with such seriousness in his voice which made jimin chuckle lightly.
"um, but i can see bees though." jimin pointed out rushing his hands through the warm strands of his hair.
the other boy looked dumbfounded as he realized one of his great philosophical phrases were a waste. both males stayed quiet after this, stealing glances at the other or, observing the way the red cardinals flew over their heads to their homes in the high trees that seemed to enclose the area.
"by the way, my name is yoongi, min yoongi." the pale boy now known as yoongi removed his cap and placed it beside him on the grass next to his legs that wore skin tight black shorts.
jimin didn't answer right away but instead nodded as acknowledgement. he was too busy thinking of how the others name floated around in his head, it fit the guy very well. "jimin." the shorter of the two breathed after yet another long string of quiet.
"what?" yoongi questioned as he had forgot the whole topic they were on before.
"my name is jimin, park jimin." jimin implied a bit more so the other could understand.
the latter smiled at jimin now happy he learned the others name as well. even though the two boys weren't making any type of conversation worth listening to, they felt comfortable around each other. that's all jimin could ask for at this point in time, for someone to notice him and be comfortable with him.
"hey can i ask you something?" jimin inquired while rubbing his knees to wipe away the soil. yoongi nodded and motioned for the other to continue. "well why did you notice me and want to talk to me? usually people ignore me and leave me be, all by myself." jimin's voice trailed off into sadness as his low self esteem began to creep back.
yoongi noticed this and set his large hands over jimin's as a sign that he was there. "i just find you interesting, i watched how you looked at the nature around you. you looked just as beautiful." a small blush crept onto yoongi's face and he moved his hand so his fingers were holding the others. jimin kept quiet after this, letting the warmth of yoongi's hands transfer to his own.
by this time the sun was setting and the city began to get less and less quiet except for a couple young people laughing obnoxiously while walking down the streets and of course the two young males that lost the concept of time.
"should we go home?" yoongi asked afraid that he was keeping jimin here by holding tightly to his hand. jimin looked up to yoongi's eyes and quickly shook his head 'no' and moved closer to the older and snuggled into his side as they both watched the moon begin to rise. "thank you jimin." yoongi giggled as he placed a gentle kiss on the tiny boy's forehead.
