"Like I asked earlier who's this nigga?" Odell asked looking at Essence boyfriend up and down.
Since he saw these two together he's been watching them for the whole party. Now everybody went home and Essence promised she'll introduce them. But she didn't want him to react in front of all of her guest. I didn't blame her because we all know how reckless Odell mouth is.
She sighed and sat on the barstool before giving him a look. Odell imitated her by rolling his neck and placing his hand on his hip making me chuckle.
That boy is something else I swear.
"This is my boyfriend Coolie, Coolie this is my daddy." She introduced them back and forth with her hand gestures:
"Why ya boyfriend got the same hairstyle as me? " Odell asked as Essence groaned.

"Daddy this is his first time seeing you so you're not the only one walking around looking like a noodle head." Essence said making Coolie laugh.
"Something funny my nigga? How old are you, birthday, what's your social security number and record?"
"I'm 18, November 12 and I don't keep up with none of that stuff." Coolie said scrunching up in face.
"Hell you should. I need to know how clean your record is so I won't have to pop off on a nigga about my daughter." He said and Herb came into the room holding up his gun.
"Oh lawd." Essence said shaking her head. "Mama please get them."
Coolie just stood there with a blank expression on his face. He was showing Odell that whatever he said wasn't scaring him and that's what I liked.
You didn't see a flash of fear in his appearance.
"Obviously Coolie isn't scared of y'all and he shouldn't be. But you should be scared of that one." Dayci pointed too Odell. "He's been locked up so you know he crazy."
"Shut the hell up and go do the dishes." Odell ordered and she scurried into the kitchen.
"Cookie let me talk to you right quick." Odell said nodding his head outside.
"It's Coolie." He mumbled before following Odell and Herb outside.
"Ma please go out there with them!" Essence pleaded as Alex raised his hands up for me to hold him.
"Odell is not going to hurt that boy chill out." I said kissing Alex's forehead.
"Ma you never know! Then uncle Herb is out there with a gun. This is the bad boys movie all over again." I laughed and shook my head thinking about the scene.
"Odell wouldn't risk going to jail again. Where's Jaycee Al?" I asked Alex as he pointed upstairs.
"F-fighting w-with.. teetee Mel." He said slowly and I nodded my head.
"Those two I swear." I mumbled as Essence looked at me like I was crazy.
We both sat in the living room as we waited for the boys to finish talking. Alex had fell asleep in my arms so I carried him upstairs too his room.
I changed him out of his clothes from earlier and laid him down. Soon as I closed the door I marched down the steps hearing yelling.
"Your boy is not bad after all. I like him." Odell said smirking.
"What made you change your mind?" I asked Odell and he shrugged.
"I gave him weed." Coolie said laughing and shaking his head like he couldn't believe it.
"That nigga got a damn weed store in his book sack. Where have you been all my life Cookie?" Odell asked plopping down on the couch staring at the weed.
"Y'all are disgusting." Essence laughed.

"Hey you." I knocked on Essence door as she rose up in her bed.
"What's poppin Dukes." She asked before turning her attention back too her phone.
"Why aren't you packing and buying stuff for your dorm? College starts in a few right?"
"College starts in 4 months bruh. I have a lot of time to pack and besides I haven't received a letter from anyone." She sighed out in frustration.
"Girl you did. Your letters came a few weeks ago but your father hid them." I said showing her the letters from behind my back.
"He really wants me to say- but too bad. Snatches, gimmie them." She said taking the letters from my hand.
She criss crossed her legs and opened one letter at a time. The first one was from Auburn. The second one was from ASU.
The third one was from Alabama and the last one was from LSU which she was waiting for. All because of dancing.
"I'm going to LSU!" She screamed jumping up and down in the bed.
"What happened? Essence finally found out that she was a man?" Jaycee asked bursting into the room catching his breath.
"Boy get out." I slammed the door in his face.
"Hater."
