I'm not sure how many days had passed when the doctor came one day. And told me the worst news of my life.
"We are going to take him off of life support." He was talking about Dylan, and that started, as my mom calls it, my 50 days of tears. It doesn't even make sense other than the fact that I cried almost every day and when I wasn't crying I was ignoring everyone.
I had been let out of the hospital a week ago and all I did was go back and wait by Dylan's bed side, they said they would take him off life support in a week.
"You know I never thought you would be the person I saw here." God it was one of Dylan's jerk friends, well old friend.
"What's that's supposed to mean?" I didn't want to deal with him. "Only family can visit anyways, you have to leave."
"Why can you stay here than, he your cousin or something?"
"Yea sure lets go with that." I smiled as he walked out the door.
"Dylan, god I know you can't here me but, I just feel like you should know this, you are more than just a friend to me. But I know I will never be more to you." I gently kissed his cheek before getting up.
"You mean a lot more than just a friend." Dylan's voice filled the room.
"Your alive!" I screamed. I limped back over to his bed (I was still on crutches).
"What else would I be, dead?" He smiled.
"Do not joke about that, it's not funny."
"What do you mean, there seems to be a smile peeking through that glare."
"If you just hadn't come out of a coma I would punch you. You know?"
"I figured so."
"I better go get the doctor." And with that I got up and left the room to go find the doctor.
It had been 5 days since Dylan had woken up and I still hadn't gone to see him again, it just seemed weird like something just wasn't right. Ryan had gone and said that Dylan had wondered where I was, and why I didn't come back. And the thing was I didn't know, but I wish I did.
"Nicole you know you are going to have to face both him and your brother eventually?" Luke was sitting on the couch as I paced the room.
"I just don't know what to say, what I would do, I practically told him that I liked him, what if he doesn't actually like me back? What if he is really just a guy trying to get with me? Who actually knows this guy?"
"Your brother!"
"But does he really?!"
"You need to calm down and relax! You need to go see him and try and figure things out."
"But I can't I can't face either of them. I'm the reason Kyle is in the hospital and well I can't see Dylan after what I said to him, I just......" at that moment Ryan came in mumbling to himself.
"Hey, what's up dude?"
"What's up is that I just spent the last half hour listening to both Dylan and Kyle talk about how Cole better come visit them cause they both want to talk to you." Ryan actually seemed annoyed.
"You know how I feel right now, I just don't think that going to see them is a good idea."
"Yea well I'm not giving you an option." And with that he picked me up over his shoulder and carried me out to the truck, where Luke caught up to us. "Get in and hold her down, I don't need her escaping." Ryan climbed into the drivers seat and started up the engine.
When we arrived at the hospital once again Ryan picked me up over his shoulder.
"Put me down right now!" I was half yelling at him.
"No cause you have to see these guys or you are going to have problems." The nurses were all staring at us but he reasured them that everything was fine.
"You better put me down right now or I swer to god I will take you down MILLER!" I started to squirm and try and wiggle my way out but it was no use, he had me, and he was taking me to see my brother and the guy that I may like.
