Requested by MEagle19 for a flirt battle between Tony and a character, and the character is Gibbs' daughter and an agent. (I know she wanted a reader but it works better for me to write in first person, I'll stick the *y/n* thing in whenever I need to though)
"So, yeah, lunch sounds good. Where were you thinking?" I asked, running my hand down the lapel of his jacket. I knew the risks of flirting with DiNozzo, what with my father being the head of the major crimes response team, the legendary Leroy Jethro Gibbs, but he was so irresistible. Forbidden fruit. Dad told me to stay away from him. He knew DiNozzo's track record with women.
"Well, how about Ben's Chili Bowl on U Street? I can sneak out for a couple hours, I know you get out early since you're working part time right now."
I was taking online classes for bartending, too. Even though I cut my hours back at the office for this, and Vance letting me, I knew I would be going back to the longer hours after I finished the class.
"Sure," smiling, I told him, "get back to work, Agent DiNozzo."
We ended up sharing the elevator back to the squad room. We didn't pay attention to each other, knowing what would happen if Dad caught us together, talking, especially since I was going to see him about something.
"Hey, Daddy, I might take off for lunch. Want anything?" I asked.
"Whatever you get is fine with me," he told me, going through emails. When I kept standing in front of his desk, he looked up. "What? I hope you aren't doing anything with DiNozzo... Tony!"
"Boss!"
"You stay away from my daughter!"
"Will do, boss." I turned and smirked at him, winking. A faint smile spread across his face. Ziva was watching the whole thing with an amused look on her face, fully knowing what was going on between the two of us the entire time. She would have a lot to say tomorrow morning.
Heading out for lunch, I shot Tony a quick text. "Let's do dinner instead, dad might be onto us"
"Sounds good I'll let you know when I'm done here"
Thankfully I had my own apartment near the Navy Yard. Daddy thought it was safer for me to live closer to work, and I agreed.
Once I got back to work with lunch, I gave the senior agent his lunch, and went to the break room to eat. Ziva came in a minute later, and sat down across from me.
"So..."
"So, what?"
"You and Tony. Anything going on between you two?"
Looking at the woman, halfway with my burrito to my mouth, I slowly put it down and cleared my throat. "Well, Dad doesn't know, but we're sorta seeing each other. We'll grab drinks sometimes, or dinner, spend time with each other."
"Good for you," she replied.
"But, please, don't tell Gibbs. Seriously," I warned her. With my dad a sniper in the Corps, I somehow ended up with above normal shooting skills with various weapons. Everyone knew that.
~later that night~
"Alright, so, how was your day?" Tony asked.
I laughed. "Let's not talk about work. I had to finish up this week's class online, too."
"Oh, joy. Hope that's going well."
"It is, actually. A couple more weeks and then I'll be back on normal duty."
He looked somewhat surprised. "Good, that's good. I can't wait to see your beautiful face more often."
Laughing again, I leaned over and looked at him through my lashes. "I think you just want to see how often you can sneak off without my dad realizing what you're doing."
"Well, there is a certain... allure to spending time with you, especially with who your dad is."
Just then, dinner came. We had gone to a fancier Chinese restaurant after he got out of work. It kind of struck me as funny that we still both had our Sigs with us, clipped to our belts next to the badges. I did it out of habit, working in a high risk job and being female, Tony had his because he came right from work.
"I hope dad didn't tail you or have McGee slip a bug on your car. He still tracks my car with the LoJack sometimes."
"Well, he's protective, and wants to make sure you're not off doing illegal activities," Tony chuckled.
"Tony, I'm an armed federal agent, I'd lose my job if I did anything illegal," I told him, running a foot up his leg. He did that ridiculous purr thing he did occasionally, and I almost spit out the food I was eating.
He started laughing. "Don't do that again."
"Well, don't play footsies if you want to keep your food in your mouth," he teased.
Looking outside, I stopped chewing. Across the street was one of the agency's black sedans. Tony followed my gaze and shut up. I had driven my Subaru to the restaurant, and Tony had his personal car.
"Stay here," I told him.
And that was how my dad found out I was seeing Tony DiNozzo.
