Chapter 8

"What are you going to tell me?" I asked.

She's just staring at me. The way she looked into my eyes felt different, like, she's staring it deeply with feelings.

"Oh, mm... We should immediately talk about this business."

"Oh. Okay."

Fuh... I felt relieved. I thought she was going to say something unexpected.

We walked to a room and found my manager and Eli's manager are talking about jobs.

"Oh, hey you two! Sit." He commanded.

We sit down and they started the talk. We talked about outfits, salaries, what song should I sing, the stage, and etc.

We debate a little, but in a friendly way. And I see Eli is focusing on the meeting carefully. But, from her eyes, I think she's not focusing at all. She is thinking about something. Because from her expression, looks like she's daydreaming. She's thinking about me? Well, maybe not.

30 minutes later, the meeting ends. Apart from the debate, we also had a fun talk, especially with Eli.

Me and Eli talked a lot. We laughed a lot too. I can't wait for the show to begin. It will be amazing. I will be singing Snow Halation. It's a good song. Me, Honoka, and Rin worked together for this song and it became my single.

And the ad already launched one hour before. I hope my family sees it. They will be so happy. And I'm hoping Honoka and Rin will watch too, and...
Maki. I hope she will see it. Will she get jealous? Maybe not. She didn't even know me. But, why she came to my house?

My mood drops again. I'm thinking about Maki now, and, the dream. A wonderful and a horrible dream at once.

"Nico, are you okay?" Eli's soft voice called me.

"Oh, yeah. I'm fine, thank you. Oh, n..no! I mean sorry, I.. I mean.. What I meant is, sorry. I.." I stuttered so hard. Ugh, I daydreamed again. Embarrassing.

"Oh, it's fine." She answers calmly.

◆ Eli's POV.

We continued talking to each other. Now, it's Nico's turn to talk. So, I pay attention to her. She looks so cute, and her red ruby eyes it's the best.

It's hard to pay attention what she just said, but I have to. This can become my lesson. I don't even know what she just said to me lately, I'm still focusing on her eyes. She's so beautiful and cute. Her two black pigtails hair are so long and wonderful. And her nose, it's just cute. She looks like a baby girl to me.

That day, when we went back from the Cafe, I recklessly want to tell her that I love her. That's just like the most stupid thing I've ever done. I don't even like her. I'm just obsessed with her appearance, that's all. And I just consider her as my friend.

Well, when we were in High School, don't know why, every time she hang out with Maki, I easily got jealous. I don't know why, I just don't know. And when we were in the Cafe, I didn't even hear what she said, I just stared at her beautiful red emerald eyes.

"Eli? Um, excuse me?" She said, waving her hand over my face.

"Y.. Yes?" I surprised myself. Oh no, I day dreamed.

"Did you listen to me while I talk?" She asked, and gave me a cute pout.

"Oh, yes, of course." I lied.

After that, her manager approached us.

"Hey, girls! Time for rehearsal." She said, clapping her hands.

Good, it's rehearsal time. Me and Nico stood up and go to the rehearsal room.

She's going to sing one of my favorite song from her, and it's Snow Halation. I just love it, I cried every time I heard it and just sing along with the song. Anyways, it's not far after Christmas yet. It's still one of the first month in 2017.

So, in the rehearsal, I'm practicing my dance steps, while Nico did some warm ups.

Her voice's good. It just need some practice, cause' her voice cracks a lot. Maybe that's because I'm here, so she's nervous and her voice got messed up.

After 2 hours, we finished the rehearsal. It's a success, and because of that, I felt calm. 'Cause the show is 2 days later, and that time I panicked and thought that it will never be fast. I don't know we can finished the rehearsal this fast. Tomorrow is just the finishing touch.

"Hey, Eli!" Nico called me.

"Yes?" I answered.

"See you tomorrow." She said with a sweet smile.

"Y.. Yeah. See you." I stuttered. I don't know why I felt nervous after I saw her beautiful smile. It makes my heart jumped.

When I arrived at my house after my driver drives me home, I feel like I have to do some chores to make this home looks homey again. I worked so hard this since last year and I have no time to clean my house. And since now I have time, I'm gonna do it. If I don't do it now, then when?

After I finished my chores that takes 5 hours to finished it cause my house is big, I went to my room to check my phone. Ugh, my back hurts so bad. Ah, my phone rings. I wonder who called me.

Oh, Tom. I guess he has something important to tell me.

"Hello?" I started.

"Yeah, Eli. I want to ask something."

"What is it?"

"I felt a bit worried about our salary that we have to give to Nico Yazawa."

"Why?"

"It's big, Eli. Our staffs donated a lot for the money. You know, our money are almost washed up because of this."
"No problem. I will replace your money. Just, don't think too much, just pay them what we've promised."

"Oh, okay. But if we get insolvent, it's not my fault."

"Yeah, whatever."

He has a point. What if we get bankruptcy? That's horrible. Never mind. As long as I get to perform with Nico, everything's gonna be fine.

Oh, my phone rings again.

W.. What??

Nico??

Yeah, I just got her number when we were in the Cafe. What will she tell me?

"H.. Hello?"

"Hi, Eli. Sorry to interput but, I just want to ask. What are you doing? Because, I'm so bored here. I needed someone to talk to. I just finished talked to my family, but they are so busy. So, we just chatted so fast."

"I just finished doing my chores."

"Chores? You're really diligent, as always. I like you already."

She liked me?

"Oh, um. I mean, I just like your behaviour. The famous idol Nico, Nico, smilee~ apologizes."

"Hahaha, you're so funny, Nico. No problem. I like it when you said that."

"Uh... Y.. You like it?"

Oh, crap! I blurted.

"Oh, I mean, I like the way you said that. Your voice is cute."

"Oh, thank you. Um, I have to go. Bye!"

"Bye."

Fuh... Finally. Oh, my phone rings again.

W..What?!

Ray? Not him again.
